Rob joined Customized in July 2013 and works with the retail team providing supplier registration, ongoing compliance, regulatory support, and other consulting services for clients.

Rob has diverse experience in the energy industry including renewables and energy efficiency project development. He earned a BA from Wake Forest University and an MES in Environmental Management and Sustainability at the University of Pennsylvania.

Alan joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2007 and began actively participating in the NYISO stakeholder process where market rules are developed and implemented. He provides reporting and consulting services to clients in the NYISO market, with detailed analysis that helps those clients make informed business decisions related to New York’s wholesale electricity markets. Alan is the current chair of the NYISO’s Budget and Priorities Working Group and Bylaws Subcommittee and is a past chair of the Price Responsive Load Working Group, the Business Issues Committee, and the Management Committee.

Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Alan worked in the pharmaceutical industry. Alan earned his BA from Penn State University and his MBA from Binghamton University.

Utsav joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2025, where he advises clients on market developments and revenue opportunities in MISO and PJM, and leads internal capacity market modeling efforts. Before CES, he provided transaction advisory services at Delphos for international power sector project financing, procurements, regulatory reform, battery storage market development, and cross-border power trade. He previously supported solar and storage transactions at Sol Systems through financial modeling and power markets/regulatory due diligence, and advised on power markets and regulatory economics issues at London Economics International, with a focus on PJM.
Utsav holds an MPA in Energy Management and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a BA in International Relations from Colgate University.

Charles Adzema joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2019.  Charles has over 10 years of experience working in the Retail Energy industry in various capacities as an analyst, consultant, and operations manager.

His most recent duties prior to CES were leading operations billing teams with PPLSolutions and Hansen Technologies.  Charles earned his BS in Energy, Business, & Finance from the Pennsylvania State University and MBA from DeSales University.

Suyash joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2019. He is involved in building products and digital capabilities for suite of services incl. Renewable Portfolio Compliance (RPS), REC management, voluntary green products, risk and position management, forecasting, scheduling, ISO settlements etc.

Prior to joining CES, Suyash worked with a MNC in Business and IT Consulting space and has served utility clients in all major markets including USA, UK and Asia Pacific.

Suyash holds Masters in Business Administration (Energy) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Anshul has 8 years of work experience in Devops and Release Management. He is backed up with B.Tech (IT) from IP University in Delhi. He is responsible for handling the end to end release cycle and improving the deployment process for Retail and other applications.

Prior to joining CES, Anshul worked for Accenture and was working with major E-commerce clients.

Niyati Ahuja joined CES in July 2025 as Analyst – Market Research (India) – Emerging Technologies. Niyati previously worked as a Senior Analyst in Gensol Engineering and Mahindra Group for three years. She has her master’s degree in public policy from O.P. Jindal Global University. She is proficient in data analysis and visualization.

Nitin Akhade joined CES in April 2020. He is working with the emerging technologies team, providing consulting in market linkages and technology mapping for economic development of rural and unserved communities. Nitin has over 8 years of experience in the energy sector with a particular specialization in areas of energy access, developing sustainable business models and market linkages for enhancing the livelihoods of rural communities.

His research experience focuses in areas of renewable energy powered end use applications and appliances, formulation of standards and benchmarks for productive end use applications for BoP segments and clean cooking solutions for reducing emission hazards for women and children in the developing world.

He holds a dual master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from University Polytechnic Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain and Grenoble Institute of Technology, France; Executive Energy Management degree from Grenoble Ecole de Management, France; and a Bachelor in Technology in Electrical Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Raigad, India. He had previously worked with Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN) on managing the activities related to technology development and market linkages for decentralized renewable energy eco-systems in India. He also had a short stint with Lloyd's Register Consulting, Mumbai on safety assessment of nuclear power plant.

Mohammad Faiz Akram joined CES in January 2022 as Database Developer. His areas of expertise include working on T/SQL and SQL server database objects like stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, tables, and more.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology West Bengal, India.

Prior to CES, he worked with energy & utility-based organization - Esyasoft Technologies Pvt Ltd as a Database Engineer.

Chris joined CES as a System Operator in August of 2015.  His current responsibilities include the monitoring, diagnostics, curtailment and remote repair of wind farms. Additionally, He is responsible for coordinating both planned and unplanned outages with different transmission operators and ISO’s as well as providing weekly and month to date reporting on site performance conditions to the customer.  Before joining CES, Chris attended Rowan University where he obtained his BA in Business.

Prashant Anand joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2024 as Manager - Energy Modeling. With over five years of experience in the U.S. wholesale electricity markets, he focuses on electricity market analysis, LMP forecasting, resource adequacy, and capacity expansion modeling, helping utilities, project developers, and investors navigate complex power market dynamics.

He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and has five years of research experience in optimization and analytics.

Kevin joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2016 bringing with him 15 years of experience in wholesale electricity markets.  Previously, Kevin operated ERCOT’s Congestion Revenue Rights Market and also worked as an account manager where he facilitated the commissioning of several resources.  Prior to ERCOT, Kevin spent 12 years in wholesale power at the Lower Colorado River Authority in Austin, Texas.  There he focused on asset optimization and congestion management for a diverse generation and load portfolio.

Anirudh joined Customized Energy Solutions as a Senior Analyst in the Emerging Technologies division in December 2024. Before joining CES, he worked with WRI India, where he gained over four years of experience in power sector modelling, stakeholder engagement and renewable energy research.

Anirudh holds an M.Tech in Energy Studies from IIT Delhi and has contributed to projects involving production cost models, green hydrogen feasibility, and clean energy roadmaps for Indian states.

Mike joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2021 as a Client Operations Analyst on the Retail Services team. He provides support to the group in billing, EDI, and client management.

Prior to joining CES, Mike worked as a Senior Analyst for a pharmaceutical drug wholesaler operating across the globe. Here he helped manage the pharmaceutical portfolios of some of the world’s leading healthcare providers. He has a diverse background in client relations, project management, and data analytics.

Gaurav Arora joined Customized Energy Solutions as Infrastructure Project Manager in October 2018. He is responsible for managing and prioritizing Infrastructure and technology-related project initiatives for the enterprise.

Prior to joining CES, Gaurav was the Program and Project lead for Cloudamize. He brings eight years of technology experience across various industries as an IT/PMO leader and consultant.

Gaurav has a B.A. from Temple University and a M.S. from Penn State University.

Kristy Ashley serves as Director, Market Intelligence – ERCOT, for Customized Energy Solutions. In her role, she provides reporting and analysis to CES clients by leveraging her twenty years of experience on both the commercial and regulatory side of the electric markets.

Prior to joining CES, Ms. Ashley was Director, Market Development – South and West, for Exelon Corporation, one of the nation’s largest competitive power generators, where she was responsible for wholesale market policies in ERCOT, Southwest Power Pool and other energy markets in which Exelon operates, and she developed the company’s position on policy matters at the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC). Ms. Ashley was actively involved in the design of the Texas nodal market. She has held leadership positions in the Texas Competitive Power Association and has served on ERCOT’s Technical Advisory Committee, Wholesale Market Subcommittee and other market stakeholder working groups. She also served as the alternate representative in the Independent Generator Segment on the ERCOT Board of Directors. Ms. Ashley worked for the Exelon Power Team as a trader and asset manager. Prior to joining Exelon, she worked for Mirant Corporation on their ERCOT asset management desk. With nearly 20 years of energy industry experience.

Ms. Ashley previously served on the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Power Association and the GCPA emPOWERing Women Committee. During her time working with the emPOWERing committee, she developed and led their first two annual emPOWERing Women Leadership Conferences.

Sagar Avhale joined Customized Energy Solutions (CES) as a Senior Accountant in October 2025. He is overseeing accounting records, coordinating audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, analysing financial data, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial information. 

With over 8 years of experience, Sagar has developed strong expertise in General Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing. He holds an MBA in Finance and brings a thorough, detail-oriented approach to supporting CES’s financial operations 

Bindu Madhavi is an experienced clean energy and power sector professional with over 14 years of expertise in policy, regulation, and industry engagement. Currently with the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), she leads initiatives on energy storage, electric mobility, and advanced cell manufacturing (ACC), driving collaboration between government and industry. As Chair of IESA’s Policy Working Group, she guides strategic policy actions and market development efforts. A mentor with the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET), she champions gender diversity in energy leadership and has co-authored key publications, including IESA’s Energy Storage Vision 2030.
Her leadership in policy engagement and advocacy was recognized during India Energy Storage Week 2023, where she was acknowledged among the “Women Leaders Driving the Energy Sector in India.”

Hiroki joined CES Japan as manager for BLUEj Development on November 22, 2019. He has been working in the IT industry as a software engineer and program/project manager. He also was the manager/director in several technical support divisions over 34 years in foreign vendor in Japan. For the recent 20 years, he has been working in telecom industry for a large scale system accommodating 10M users.

 

Dr. Hina Badgujar became a part of CES in November 2024, serving as a Technical Analyst specializing in energy storage and conversion technologies for a range of applications, including automotive, stationary power, portable power, and grid-scale storage. She is responsible for conducting in-depth assessments, validation processes, and comparative performance benchmarking of emerging technologies. Her extensive research background and technical proficiency enable her to drive innovation and optimize energy solutions at CES.

Hina has an in-depth understanding of various energy storage technologies owing to her many years of involvement in the research and development of novel battery chemistry and materials for electrochemical cell. She has received advanced training in battery technology from ARCI, Chennai and has authored numerous technical publications. She has a PhD from Central University of Gujarat, and MS from The M S University of Baroda. She has also worked as a research associate at the Satyendra Nath Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata (SNBNCBS) and National Institute of Technology Delhi (NITD) as well as at Nexus Power.

Rupesh Badkhal has over 6 years of experience in renewable energy with a specialization in basic energy access, customizing delivery models to cater to the social, geographical, and economical context of individuals, households, institutes, and communities.

Previously, Rupesh focused his work on understanding the link between sustainable energy and livelihood improvement, community relationship development, and the innovations built holistic models that enhanced and secured income levels of under-served communities.  He also understands the ecosystem approach and model projects covering aspects of technology, innovation, finance, market linkages, sustainability, and more.

Rupesh has an engineering degree from SGB Amaravati University, Maharashtra, India.

Gloria joined Customized Energy Solutions (CES) as a Program Associate working on Energy Access and Livelihoods, with a focus on installation and maintenance activities. She has experience in the renewable energy sector, supporting solar system design, site assessments, installation, maintenance, and operations, with strong hands-on involvement in both field implementation and technical coordination. She has previously worked with Timbuktu Zambia Limited and Engie Energy Access Zambia, contributing to solar deployments, energy access initiatives, and electrical engineering projects. Her professional experience includes solar PV system sizing and costing, technical proposal support, refurbishment and testing of solar systems, data analysis and reporting, and coordination between sales, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure efficient project delivery. She has also supported operations and maintenance activities and supervised field teams. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechatronics Engineering from The Copperbelt University and brings a practical, field-oriented approach to renewable energy projects, with a strong interest in delivering reliable and sustainable energy solutions that improve energy access and strengthen community livelihoods.

Prasanna has around 7 years of experience in the IT domain. His bachelor’s degree is in electrical & electronics engineering from JNTU.

Prior to joining CES, Prasanna worked for Wipro and was involved in US FDA & Health Canada Audits for pharmaceutical clients like Novartis, Mylan & Aurobindo as System Administrator.

Deepika Bangar joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022 as Quality Analyst. She has 3.5 years of experience in the industry. Her skills include functional testing, AI testing, UI automation testing using selenium WebDriver & Java, SOAP UI, and POSTMAN.

Deepika has her B.E. in Computer Engineering from Pune University.

Shiva joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2023 as SQL Server (Business Intelligence) Developer. He has worked in projects involving data from end to end, ETL processes, reports and data warehousing using multiple Microsoft tools.

Shiva has a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from JNTU, India and master’s degree in information technology from Arkansas Tech University.

Kieran joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2024 as a Business Development Associate. In this role, he supports the Future-Grid and Wholesale Market Operations Teams, with a particular focus on GridBOOST and demand response initiatives.

Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Kieran received his BS in Sustainable Business & Environmental Economics from Cornell University.

Sharon joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2008 as a Senior Accountant. She was promoted to Controller in December of 2008, where she is now responsible for all the daily financial activity and reporting of the company.

Prior to joining Customized, Sharon spent three years as Controller at Swets Information Services Inc. She worked previously at Fleer Trading Cards for 13 years holding various roles in the finance department.

Sharon earned a BS in Accounting from Lycoming College.

Dr. Gustav Beerel joined CES in 2013 as Vice President of Market Development.  His focus is on business and process development of scalable, comprehensive retail and wholesale energy service delivery platforms both in the US and internationally.

Gustav is the founder/President of Emission Information, Inc.  He was co-founder/CEO of EnvaPower, Inc, (known as Genscape Analytics).  He was a founding member of New Energy Ventures and Corporate S.V.P. of AES NewEnergy, (known as Constellation NewEnergy). He spent a decade in the chemical industry, has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering & Mathematical Optimization.

Puja Behani joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2022 as a Retail Market Services Data Analyst.

Prior to joining CES, Puja worked for Cognizant Technology Solutions and Highradius Corporation as a Business Analyst/Customer Value Analyst where she was responsible for building analytic solutions and reports using BI tools like Power Bi and Tableau. She holds basic knowledge in Excel Macros and MS SQL. Her core skills are data visualization, data analysis and project management.

Kim joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2021 as an analyst on the Retail Services team.  She provides billing support for the Retail team, focusing on PJM.

Prior to joining CES, Kim worked as an Energy Marketing and Trading Analyst for PPL and Talen Energy.  At CES, she manages the complex billing, enrollments, and customer support.  Kim earned her BS in Business from King’s College and MBA from Desales University.

 

Pari joined CES in Jan, 2018. She has been working for CES as a contractor since Sep 2016. She has 11 years of experience in Software Development. She has background in server side applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate. In CES Pari is working on creating and maintaining different modules in CoMETS tool.

Pari has completed BE in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University.

Saloni Bhandari joined Customized Energy Solutions with a strong background in business and data analysis. She completed her MS in Business Analytics from Drexel University, where she also worked as a Junior Business Analyst. Prior to this, Saloni served as a Data Analyst at ECRI. In her current role, she bridges the gap between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring effective communication, reporting, and problem-solving.

Rohit Bhide joined Customized Energy Solutions as a Senior Analyst in March 2022. His focus is on forecasting, data analysis, market research and consulting related to emerging technologies.

Rohit brings more than eight years of experience in research and strategy consulting for energy, power, sustainability, and environment sector. He worked on developing country & state specific renewable energy action plans, market assessment, product benchmarking, potential analysis, forecasting and trend analysis.

Prior to joining CES, Rohit has worked with Grand View Research, MarketsandMarkets and Vedanta Resources.

Rohit holds a Master’s in Energy from Heriot Watt University, U.K. and Master’s in Geology from University of Pune, India.

Ian Blaine joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2024. Prior to joining CES, Ian worked for Invenergy as a Power Scheduler and PJM Interconnection as Energy Management Systems Support Contractor. He completed two co-op opportunities with Sunoco LP and PJM Interconnection as well.

Ian graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Engineering from Drexel University in March 2023.

Stephen started working at CES in October 2017 as a SQL Analyst. Prior to joining CES he worked at NRG as a hybrid roll SQL Developer and Business Analyst for two years. He is a recent graduate of Drexel University with a BS in Information Systems and a minor in Finance.

Diksha Liladhar Bonde is currently working as a Junior Accountant – Finance & Accounts at Customized Energy Solutions (CES) since May 2025. In this role, Diksha is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable, reconciling financial records, and assisting in financial reporting. She holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Human Resource Management from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

Drew joined CES in January 2016 as a consultant with Data Acquisition Services.  He comes to CES with over 14 years of experience supporting Windows Systems and Networking for SMB customers. Drew has joined the Data Acquisition Services team developing, setting up, and supporting the DAS systems and services. Drew earned a BS from Millersville University in Secondary Education and an Associates in Computer Systems from York Technical Institute.

Mike joined CES as a System Operator on the 24 hour renewable generation monitoring desk.  His responsibilities include monitoring and dispatching wind turbines at 8 different sites located in the United States and coordinating with wind park technicians at each site. Along with this, he is in charge of curtailing, remote resetting, analyzing and reporting on the condition and performance of the sites that he oversees. He is also responsible for managing several battery storage units across the country.

Before joining CES, Mike attended Penn State where he graduated in May of 2018 with a B.S. in Mathematics: Systems Analysis.

Prasad joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2019 as a Software Engineer. He is responsible for detail-oriented UI design and development using technical web skills with a solid understanding of users’ perspectives. Prasad has over six years of experience in software development sector with a specialization in front-end development. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Application from University of Pune.

Thuy joined Customized Energy Solutions in September 2022 as a Sr. Scrum Master. As part of the Retail Services team, she is responsible for assisting teams in executing software development initiatives and supporting IT delivery teams/processes.

Prior to joining CES, Thuy worked as Software Project Management / Scrum Master in various industries including healthcare, education, finance and ecommerce. Her goal within CES is to assist in the acceleration of technology and team growth.

She holds an MBA degree in Business Management from ENSIA University, France.

Huyen has over 4 years of experience working across various projects and technology domains along with web and mobile platforms by both manual and automation testing. She is passionate about learning new technologies with a positive attitude.

Huyen has her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information System from the University of Economics HCMC, Vietnam.

Alexander joined CES in September 2013.  He is working on several internet applications with the main focus on CES | GREEN.  Alexander has a background in desktop and web programming. He worked for software, banking and engineering businesses.  For the past 16 years, Alexander had developed many successful web portals and tools for the companies he worked for – Thomson Financial, Lehman Brothers, Panasonic Avionics and others.

In 2001 Alexander, alongside his partner, started a company developing and selling AJAX web frameworks and tools. The company was created several years before technology was accepted and implemented by Microsoft.

Alexander has a MS in Computer Science from National Technical University of Ukraine.

Andrea Calo is the Director of Mexico Market Intelligence with Customized Energy Solutions where she focuses on analyzing and reporting on the Mexican electricity market rules, their implementation and implications, helping clients navigate the complicated labyrinth of regulations, manuals and processes.

She has an extensive background in the energy industry in LATAM. Before working with CES Andrea worked for Duke Energy International, where among other responsibilities she led efforts for business development in Colombia and Mexico, and prior to that was Legal Director at Enron Argentina, and in-house counsel for multinational energy corporations in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Andrea earned her J.D and Postgraduate Degree in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Buenos Aires. She also holds a Mediation Degree with Specialization in Corporate Mediation from the Buenos Aires Bar Association School of Mediation, and is a Licensed Mediator before the Argentine Ministry of Justice. She is also co-founder and board member of the International Society for Mexico Energy (ISME).

Minh joined the Vietnam team of Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022 as a Business Analyst.

Prior to CES, Minh has worked as Technical Support Analyst and Service Engineer at Hansen Technologies, Logigear and AppSmith Technology in energy, software testing and oil & gas domains.

Manasi joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2023 as Data Analyst on the Retail Team. Prior to joining CES, Manasi worked for iLink Digital as a Data Engineer where she was responsible for data analysis and designing data pipelines. She also created dashboards and reports using Power BI.

Manasi holds her Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from MIT Pune.

Nikhil joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022 and works in the India Operations as a Sr. Manager – India Markets. He was previously associated with Power Distribution arm of K. Raheja Corp where he contributed to the development of ecosystem of SEZ based Discoms. Prior to that he was associated with Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL) wherein he was a part of strategy and product development team.

At CES, he is responsible for business development for open access clients, renewable energy market (REC), bidding strategies for clients, contract management and operational aspects of power trading and regulatory assistance to the clients.

Nikhil holds an executive master’s in business administration (power) from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) and bachelor of technology in electrical engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Raigad, Maharashtra India.

Shivam Chauhan joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2019 with a focus on the North American electricity market. Shivam holds the master's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Shivam's career highlights include extensive experience in renewable energy (RE), energy storage, and hydrogen sector, with a special focus on energy modelling and revenue analysis for projects from various market participation in different ISOs.

Prior to joining CES, Shivam Chauhan made significant contributions to the field of renewable energy. He was involved in impactful projects with the National Institute of Solar Energy (N.I.S.E.) and Indian Army, where his expertise played a crucial role in promoting sustainable energy solutions.

Shiv Chavda joined CES as a QA Analyst in March 2024. He is a Computer Science student at Drexel University. During his time at Drexel, he completed a co-op at Holman as a Developer/Analyst, where he developed websites to facilitate data retrieval and analysis for his team. For his second co-op, he served as a QA Analyst at CES, which led to a full-time position as a QA Analyst.

Jiaying joined Customized Energy Solutions as an intern at New York office in Feb 2014. In November 2015, she joined Congestion Management team as a full-time analyst. She is supporting a broad range of clients through the various Financial Transmission Rights (FTR) and Auction Revenue Rights (ARR) processes in the CAISO and SPP markets.

Jiaying graduated from Binghamton University with an MA in Finance and Economics and a BA in Economics.

Patikan Chirwa is a Zambian electrical and technical specialist with over 10+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, installation, and fabrication. His skill and experience span back to working with organizations such as Konkola Copper Mines, Skyscrapers, CAMCO, and SARO. Patikan is currently serving as a Program Associate for Energy Access and Livelihoods at CES CARES, he leads technical implementation and service support for renewable energy systems. He is known for his dedication to quality service, strong problem-solving skills, and contribution to customer retention through effective after-sales support.

Nicole joined Customized Energy Solutions in March 2021 where she provides billing support for the retail team, focusing on Bill Ready Accounts.

Prior to joining CES, Nicole has been in the retail electric industry since 2008. She has worked with NRG Energy, Gexa Energy and EDF Energy in various Retail Operations roles. She first encountered CES while working with Gexa Energy where she participated in system testing with CES prior to Gexa’s conversion.

Vidya joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2022 as a Software Developer. She has around six years of experience in Full Stack development using JAVA as backend technology and JavaScript frameworks. She also has experience in SCALA framework.

Vidya completed her BTech in Information Technology with distinction from the only technological university of Maharashtra, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere. She worked in different domains like BFSI, education, services and products development. She has achieved awards including best employee for the year in 2018 while working with Servosys Solutions and Quarterly Spot award in NESS digital engineering.

Kisanrao B. Choudhari joined CES as a FullStack .NET Developer in May 2025, bringing over 7+ years of experience in software development.
Before joining CES, Kisanrao worked at E2open Software India Pvt. Ltd., where he contributed to solution design, application development, technical research, and software support. He holds a master’s degree in computer applications from Solapur University, India, and is passionate about building innovative solutions that address real-world challenges.

 

Andrew joined CES in 2024. His area of focus is providing coverage of CAISO policy and regulatory matters in the West. Prior to joining CES, he has held various roles in the renewable energy industry for residential and commercial solar development in policy and regulatory affairs, market expansion, and as counsel. He received his BA and JD from Brigham Young University.

Barbara Clemenhagen joined Customized in 2013 and is an expert in regulatory advocacy and market design, with a focus on energy markets.  She has experience with leading strategic initiatives for generators, power marketers and retailers to enhance competitive markets, including the design and establishment of markets, and the introduction of new rules, structures, services and products. During her extensive career she has taken on projects that range from strategic to operational, and include strategy and business planning, market design, regulatory, project finance, acquisitions and divestitures. Her specialties include: commodity markets, market design, regulatory and administrative law, and project finance.  During her tenure at Topaz Power, she served on the ERCOT Board of Directors representing the Independent Generator market segment. Barbara previously served on the ERCOT Technical Advisory Committee and chaired the ERCOT Wholesale Market Subcommittee for several years. From January 2009 to March 2013, she was the President of the Texas Competitive Power Advocates; a trade association representing the largest power generators, wholesale power marketers and retail electric providers in ERCOT.

Patrick re-joined CES as an analyst on the Midwest Wholesale Energy Services Team in June of 2024. His most recent experience prior to CES was as an engineer in the Resource Adequacy Planning department at PJM, where he worked on the long-term load forecast, resource adequacy studies, and GADS administration. Prior to PJM, Patrick was previously employed by CES as a Retail Operations Data Analyst. He holds a BS in Business & Engineering from Drexel University.

Stephen Conant joined CES in June 2024 as a Senior Consultant with the Market Intelligence team where he covers the NYISO and ISO-NE markets.  He has more than 25 years of the experience in electric industry including electricity price forecasting for the CAISO and WECC, project development, policy and permitting, and the commercial lead for an emerging a VC backed superconducting transmission technology. As a merchant transmission project developer, Steve quarter-backed pre-Order 1000 tariff changes in ISO-NE that paved the way for competitive transmission opportunities.  His career includes public sector experience as an environmental regulator and as District Director for a U.S. Congressman.  Steve holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Environmental Sciences from UMass Lowell and M.A. in Urban & Environmental Policy from Tufts University.

Ryan Conway joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2024 as a Renewable Compliance Analyst. A few of his responsibilities include providing support to retail electric suppliers in maintaining compliance with federal, state and utility regulations and aid in project support, tracking and communicating regulatory issue developments, supporting client compliance position tracking, and issue/information tracking and distillation.

Prior to joining CES, Ryan attended Penn State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Energy, Business, Finance.

Rich joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2021 after working as a Senior/Security Engineer for J. Knipper and Company. Rich was the only senior network engineer who was responsible for all their networking needs.

Prior to Joining CES Rich worked mostly as a Network/Security Engineer consultant for almost 30 years for some very large corporations like Johnson & Johnson, Aventis Pharmaceutical, AT&T, Standards and Poor’s, McGraw Hill, and JPMorgan Chase to name a few. More recently he has been a fulltime employee of Philadelphia Energy Solutions, Trump Casinos and J. Knipper and Company. Rich has held or holds various IT certifications, such as his CCNA, MCSE, CNE, MCP, and CommVault system administrator. He is a graduate from Chubb Institute for Programming and Computer Operations.

Kevin joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2017. As part of the Retail Services team, his primary responsibility is to manage the operations team with a focus on automation, scalability and reporting.  Prior to joining CES, Kevin gained 7 years of experience in residential billing, wholesale power markets, analytics, and reporting while working for EnergyPlus and NRG.  Kevin graduated from University of Richmond with a BA in Biology.

Natalie Cotton-Nessler re-joined Customized Energy Solutions part-time in 2020, as Skills Development Coordinator.  Her primary focus is to assist with the delivery of professional development programs for Customized staff.  In addition, she works with sales and marketing to enhance external development.

Natalie first joined Customized Energy Solutions full-time in 2000 as a Consultant in Retail Services.  She participated in EDI working groups, developed customer billing and reconciliation systems, and developed CES’ early system for energy market data collection and analysis.  From 2002 to 2012, she worked for CES intermittently as a part-time associate while pursuing graduate education and an academic career.  She has assisted with areas as diverse as FTR analysis and evaluating CES client satisfaction.  Natalie is now on staff as faculty of management at Western New England University, where she teaches organizational behavior to undergraduate and graduate students.  She holds a Phd in Management and Sociology from the University of Michigan.  She has a JD from Penn Law and an MBA from Wharton, as well as a BS and BA from UPenn.

Ben joined CES as a Renewable Generation Operator in September of 2016. His current responsibilities include the monitoring, diagnostics, curtailment, and remote repair of wind farms. Additionally, he is responsible for coordinating both planned and unplanned outages with different transmission operators and ISO’s as well as providing weekly and month-to-date reporting on site performance conditions to the customer. 

Before joining CES, Ben attended Liberty University where he graduated in May of 2016 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Intelligence.

David joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2020 assigned to the Wholesale Energy Services – Midwest Region.

David comes to us from MISO where he spent the last fifteen years working in the Market Settlements group.  Prior to MISO, David worked for Cinergy in various roles as a Settlement Analyst, Confirmation Administrator and interned on the Hourly Trader/Scheduling desk.  He earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Thomas More College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University.

Larry joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2012 as a Systems Operator. Larry supports the day-to-day activity in the Day-Ahead and Real-time energy markets. He is responsible for submitting Day-Ahead bids and offers, Day-Ahead and Real-time Demand Response, Emergency Load Response and energy market settlements.

Prior to joining Customized, Larry worked 14 years for Exelon Corporation in their Wholesale Marketing Group. He held several positions during his tenure there- Financial Accountant, Operational Accountant, Generation Dispatcher and for the last 4 years, Real Time Trader. Prior to Exelon, Larry worked at J.P. Morgan and Deloitte & Touche. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University.

Mary Daly joined CES in June 2021 as a Senior Business Analyst in Retail Services.  Prior to CES, Mary spent over 30 years in IT as a Developer, QA Tester, and EDI Specialist.  Her industry background includes Fortune 100 manufacturing, distribution and pharmaceutical companies.

 

Sachin has joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2019 as a Software Developer. He has about 3 years of experience as a full stack developer where he worked on web-based applications with some of the most modern technologies used today. He has developed web applications in various domains including real estate, lead generation and information security (SEIM platform).

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of Pune, India.

Darshil works as an Analyst. He joined CES in Jan, 2018. He has been working for CES as a contractor since April 2016. He has 2 years of experience in Software Development. He has background in web tool and front end development. In CES, He has been involved in development of CoMETS Web tool.

Darshil holds Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering.

Gopal joined Customized Energy Solutions as QA Tester in February 2020.

Prior to joining CES, Gopal was a Software Quality Analyst who worked in Manual, Automated and Section 505/Accessibility testing in various windows, client-server, web based and customer facing applications and various domains like city government agency, customer relation management system, banking and telecom billing.

Savitha has over 8 years of experience as a Quality Analyst with hands on testing in manual and automation. She worked in financial and US healthcare domain.

Savitha pursued her BE in information science from Amrita Viswa Vidhyapeetham,Bangalore.

Swetalin joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2025. She brings over eight years of experience in marketing and market intelligence, with expertise in digital strategy, sales enablement, and research. She has led data-driven campaigns and market initiatives that contributed to business growth across global markets. 

Before joining CES, she worked with product engineering firms and startups, managing marketing and research-led initiatives. She holds an MBA (PGDM in IT & Marketing) from Balaji Institute of Modern Management, Pune, and a BBA from Utkal University, Cuttack. 

Charu joined CES in August 2022 as QA Analyst. She has previous experience in functional testing, API testing and database verification for web. She is involved in QA testing activities in support of the  release of ETL, reporting and web applications.

Prior to CES, she has worked with product-based organizations as a QA Engineer, performing manual and automation QA responsibilities in the banking domains.

Pankaj works as a Senior Analyst at Customized Energy Solutions.  He joined CES in November 2025. His main responsibilities at CES include client deliverables by performing simulations and quantitative analysis using CES CoMETS (Competitive Market Evaluation Tools for Storage) models. Build and manage Excel-based revenue and financial models, compile reports, conduct QC and benchmarking with historical data. Analyse ERCOT market data, including settlements and supply stack trends, particularly for storage. Support market research on evolving trends in renewables and storage related to price and operational dynamics.

Prior to joining CES, he worked for eight years in Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India, on Energy Data Analysis for the Electricity and Gas Utilities for Global Renault Plants, experience in python for predictive modelling. He completed his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institutes of Technology, Warangal in 2017.

Harry joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2012.  His focus is consulting services in the areas of market settlements and analysis for wholesale and retail load serving entities as well as generation projects.  Additionally, Harry assists with managing and scheduling generation assets in the various RTO/ISO markets and provides expertise for a variety of renewable energy and back office improvement projects.

Prior to joining Customized, Harry gained over 20 years of experience in the energy industry working at PJM Interconnection where he led the market settlement functions from the inception of today’s PJM wholesale markets.  Harry earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from Villanova University.

Monami joined Customized Energy Solutions as Senior Analyst in June 2021. She is responsible for handling supply chain related consulting and market research reports for materials and metals, typically for the energy field.

Prior to joining CES, she has worked with Frost & Sullivan as a Senior Research Analyst for chemical, material, and energy domains. She was also associated with multiple organizations like Manipal University, where she has served as an Assistant Professor and was involved in laboratory research work in nanotechnology. She has a few publications including a report and research paper in this sector.

Monami holds a master’s in chemical engineering from National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar and bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Jaypee University.

Gurusharan joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2022. He has extensive experience in the automotive industry in the areas of strategy, business planning, operations, sales and marketing. He is responsible for providing strategic consultancy and advisory services to automotive sector clients seeking e Mobility solutions, leading the consulting team for analysis of various technical and economic aspects of e Mobility, and leading IESA e Mobility initiatives MOVE and EV Adopter Circle.

Gurusharan has his MBA in Marketing & bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pune.

Rishi joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2022. He is responsible for Business Development in Emerging Technologies consulting practice in west USA. He has his Master’s in Business Administration focused on International Business and experience of working in India, Germany, China and USA. His focus is on projects in energy storage & renewable integration, electric vehicles & charging ecosystems, new energies, strategy consulting and investment analysis of Emerging Technologies. Previously, Rishi was Manager at a Japan HQ based Li-ion batteries manufacturing conglomerate for mobility & stationary energy storage applications & customers in the Indian subcontinent. Prior to that Rishi has worked in large engineering firms in Power generation, Automation and EV charging infrastructure sectors. Rishi holds an MBA from IIM-Shillong and Bachelor of Engineering in Control & Instrumentation from Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, India.

I joined CES in January 2025 as a Jr. Analyst - Energy Trading & Sustainability Services in Power Trading Team. Previously I was working in ERO Power LLP as a Project Coordinator. I have completed B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University.

Giang joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2020 as a Software Developer Intern and later progressed into a QA Analyst role. She currently works as a UAT Analyst, where she specializes in testing, system validation, and enhancing user experience to support successful project delivery. 

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Data Science from Drexel University, with minors in Management Information Systems and Business Administration. 

Bao joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022 as Software Engineer.

Prior to joining CES, Bao has 5 years of experience working in the software industry, where he was the developer of various salesforce and human resources systems.

Bao has his B.S degree from the University of Information Technology, Vietnam.

 

Ryan joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2024 as a Retail Data Operations Analyst. This is his first position in the energy industry, with previous experience as a Business Analyst Intern at Subaru of America. Ryan graduated from Temple University in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Statistical Science and Data Analytics.

Victor has been developing applications and data flow processes for CES since July 2011.

Prior to joining CES, Victor devoted the previous 10 years to the web application development for enterprise companies in areas of knowledge management, Web data extraction, and data management. Overall, Victor has been involved in computer technologies since 1985.

Victor graduated from Belarus State University in 1986 with a MS in Mathematics.

Dan joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2016, as an analyst on the Retail Services team.  He provides support to the group in billing operations, EDI, and client and data management. 

Prior to joining CES, Dan managed the records database for an intellectual property legal practice. He graduated from West Chester University with a degree in English. 

Matthew joined CES in April of 2019 and currently works as a software developer,  responsible for developing, code reviewing, and deployments.

Before joining CES he worked in IEP and Education Software for several years. He has experience with Agile and Full Stack Development. Matthew graduated from Radford University in 2015 with a BS in Computer Science and a BA in History.

 

Dung joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2018 as a software engineer. He is responsible for developing software applications in the areas of OCCTO system, enrollment, report, and payment.

Prior to joining CES, Dung worked in the software industry for over 8 years as a leader and developer at FPT Software and AppSmiths technology. He was the designer and developer of various invoicing systems and domains including energy, oil and gas, and government.

Dung has his B.S degree in Software Engineering from the University of Information Technology, Vietnam.

Juliet joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2025 as Marketing Manager, where she develops integrated campaigns, support business development, and strengthen engagement across CES’s global markets. With a background in technical sales support, she focuses on conference, client engagement, proposal, and digital storytelling strategy. Juliet holds a B.S. in Marketing and Management from the University of Delaware. 

Andrew joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2020.   Andrew is responsible for the company’s business development activities related to wholesale energy services, which includes generation-asset management services and related energy management services for generation owners, large commercial and industrial companies, and load serving entities.

Andrew brings over twenty years of experience in the electricity and natural gas markets across North America.  His core expertise is in the power sector with deep experience in both the wholesale and retail markets.  Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Andrew has led several functions including portfolio-risk management, origination, trading and asset management activities for ENGIE Resources, Reliant Energy, Duke Energy Trading and Marketing and 174 Power Global.  Andrew holds a BA in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Houston.

 

Ashkan joined the Congestion Management group at CES in June 2016. He has a diverse background in Energy Markets Analysis, Quantitative Finance, and Financial Modeling. Ashkan assists clients with managing market risk exposure through ARR’s and FTR’s products. In addition, as a technical expert in power market studies, he supports clients with various consulting projects such as Transmission Congestion Analysis, Production Cost Modeling, Power Flow Analysis, and Available Transfer Capability Calculations. 

Before joining CES, Ashkan held positions as Transmission and Research Engineer at power market consulting firms, supporting power trading activities in various ISO’s. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Finance from New York University. 

Brian joined CES in March of 2017 as a Software Engineer. Prior to joining CES he worked as an Application Developer at Presante Health Care. Brian has over 20 years’ experience as a software developer. He has a BSC diploma in Applicable Mathematics from Dundee Institute of Technology

Janice joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2021 as Data Science Analyst. She is a part of CoMETS team and will help boost data science capabilities across products and services. Her area of expertise is advanced machine learning, data science, and deep learning. She has experience in predictive modelling, anomaly detection, image processing, natural language processing, and forecasting.

With a strong technical background and passion for data science and analytics, she desires to provide solutions to complex technical problems.

Janice has a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering & a master’s degree in information technology from Goa University, India. She has 15 years of combined experience in industry and academia. She has been an Assistant Professor in institutes such as Indian Institute Of Technology-Goa and Goa Institute Management in the big data analytics department. She has worked in MNC’s such as Cybage Software Pvt. Ltd and Persistent Systems Ltd and is also skilled in web development.

Stephen Fernands is Founder and President of Customized Energy Solutions. Since Customized Energy Solutions founding in 1998 it has helped thousands of companies understand wholesale and retail electric and natural gas market and implement solutions through its hosted software platforms.  INC magazine ranked Customized Energy Solutions as one of the fasted growing companies in the United States from 2005 through 2015 and in 2008 it was the 15th fastest growing private company in the energy industry.  Stephen has led the expansion of Customized Energy Solutions from a Mid-Atlantic based energy services firm to one that provides comprehensive solutions throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, India and Japan. 

As President, Stephen has focused on developing competitive wholesale and retail energy markets and development of software that enables innovation in the areas of retail competition, demand response program development, supply procurement, generation development, and transmission congestion analysis. Stephen has a BS in economics from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in Finance from Drexel University.

Ruth Fernands joined CES in August 2023. As a Market Intelligence Associate, Ruth reviews and summarizes reports and presentations, attends and participates in market meetings, and edits and drafts reports on important presentations, announcements, discussions, and other developments for internal and external clients. In addition, she provides editorial and research support for the Market Intelligence team. Her primary focus is Canada, which includes the Ontario and Alberta markets.

Ruth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and English from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Prior to college, Ruth volunteered with WindAid as a Rural Electrification Project Engineer in Peru, constructing and installing wind turbines for the small community of Playa Blanca.

Guy joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2008. His primary area of focus is providing PJM regulatory coverage and consulting services to clients with an interest in generation asset management and trading.

Guy has over 20 years of energy experience, including 12 years experience in competitive electricity markets as proprietary trader, portfolio manager, and asset manager in PJM, MISO, and NYISO. He earned an MS degree in Business from the University of Baltimore and a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. Guy is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Prior to Customized Energy Solutions, Viv worked for over 5 years as an Energy Special Billing Analyst, specializing in complex billing, ISO True Ups and Green Recs billing for Direct Energy Business/NRG.  Prior to entering the Energy field, Viv worked analyzing sales and marketing for Levi Strauss & Co. for over 20 years.

Doug joined CES in June 2021 as a Sr. Scrum Master. He is responsible for assisting teams in executing technical strategies for CES’s technology offerings and supporting IT delivery teams/processes.

Doug comes from PJM Interchange to CES. At PJM Interchange as Sr. Scrum Master, Doug worked with team members, IT departments and vendors to implement a large "Privileged Access Management" (PAM) security environment within the organization. Doug also participated in NERC/CIP standards audits to protect the electric grid.

Doug brings over 20 years of technology experience across a variety of industries and technologies from operations, DevOps, project management and nearly 10 years Agile project management skills. His goal within CES is to assist in the acceleration of technology and team growth.

Doug is Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner CSPO, and SAFe 5.0 Certified.

As a member of the Scrum Alliance family, he is keeping up with latest trends and best practices with Agile project management.

Samantha joined Customized Energy Solutions in August, 2015. In Sam’s current role, she is responsible for managing the company’s services related to renewables and compliance. This includes RPS management, REC generation optimization and a suite of compliance services for a variety of market participants. Prior to joining CES, Sam managed wholesale electric supply portfolios across multiple ISOs. Sam graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Energy, Business, and Finance and a Minor in Economics.

 

Mike joined Customized Energy Solutions in July of 2018 as a System Operator. Mike supports the day-to-day activity in the Day-Ahead and Real-time energy markets. He is responsible for submitting Day-Ahead bids and offers, Day-Ahead and Real-time Demand Response, Emergency Load Response and energy market settlements.  Prior to re-joining Customized Energy Solutions, Mike worked on the Real time desk at Talen Energy.

Felint has over six years of expertise in sustainable mobility, transportation, and project planning. His background combines urban planning and civil engineering knowledge. During his Masters, he ignited his passion for the automotive and smart mobility sector, with a specific focus on new energy vehicles. Since April 2024, he has been part of CES, where he handles policy and regulations development for the IESA e-mobility team. This includes conducting stakeholder meetings, analyzing   data and creating market research reports.

Before joining CES, Felint worked as a Senior Research Associate at EVreporter. There, he published public articles and research reports and developed a sales data dashboard for the electric vehicle industry. His interest lies in exploring emerging technologies, such as SDVs, E/E architecture, Telematics, and V2X, that fuel his work in this dynamic industry.

Madeline joined CES in 2024 as a consultant with the Emerging Technology team. Prior to joining CES, Madeline worked at Malta, a Long Duration Energy Storage technology company where she supported the commercialization of their thermal energy storage product by analyzing and developing the US LDES market. Before Malta, Madeline started her career with General Electric in roles in both their Gas Turbine and Grid Connections service lines. At GE, Madeline managed the commercial operations process for a number of key customers located across the United States for a wide variety of product offerings and was a graduate of the Commercial Leadership program, a two-year program focused on servicing the US energy markets.

 

Madeline holds a B.S of Chemical Engineering from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania.

Gina joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2014. As part of the Retail Services team, her primary focus is to provide retail natural gas suppliers support with new market entry, customer enrollments, billing, reporting, and data management. Prior to joining CES, Gina gained 12 years of experience in Residential Billing and Collections, Wholesale Power Markets, and system integration while working for Accenture Plc. Gina graduated from University of Notre Dame with a BA in Psychology.

Joe Gabrieli joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2024. Prior to joining CES, Joe was Lead Orthopedic Technician at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He also worked as an Electrician Assistant at Bongiovanni Electric.

Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Rowan University in 2019.

Devin joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2024. Prior to CES, Devin worked at Strategen Consulting, where he led quantitative analyses for renewables and energy storage serving as an expert witness in IRP proceedings. He also led the development of clean energy replacement strategies for fossil fuel generation in utilities across the country. Prior to Strategen, Devin managed several software services for Ascend Analytics, including the implementation of gross margin at risk models for portfolios with market price exposure to guide hedging and risk mitigation strategies in CAISO, ERCOT, NYISO, PJM, and other regions.

Devin holds a M.S. of Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus on Energy, Civil Infrastructure and Climate from UC Berkeley and a B.S. of Physics and Mathematics from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

 

Shubham is a solution & research oriented data scientist with his masters degree in Digital Business & AI, from Skema Business School, France. He's a professional trained in performing data analysis and machine learning tasks using Python and Statistical concepts. He also has knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI , Tableau for business intelligence and interactive insights.  Not only does Shubham possess the relevant skillset for deriving business insights and making strategic decisions using the data but he's also certified in AGILE methodology for project management. As a former business development assistant manager, he is experienced in identifying & acquiring new business opportunities in B2B market and management of digital platforms. He analyzes industry trends for organization’s marketing and sales growth. Shubham maintains professional and industry knowledge through Networking, and Market research.

Rajkumar A. Gaikwad joined CES as a Senior Software Developer in September 2021. He has over 11+ years of experience in Software Development.

Prior to joining CES, Rajkumar was working with Springer Nature Technologies and Publishing Solutions. He was involved in Solution Architecture Design, Development, Research and Software Support. He was responsible for building highly scalable, performant and robust software solutions from concept to delivery.

Rajkumar holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from Solapur University, India

Mayuri is the Finance Manager and heads the Finance & Accounts function at Customised Energy Solutions India, leading the organisation’s finance, governance, and compliance initiatives. In her leadership role, she oversees end-to-end financial management, including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, audit coordination, accounting operations, and internal controls.

 

Sangita has joined Customized in March 2010. She leads the Corporate Technology team and supports various technology initiatives across the company. She has a background in Data warehousing and Business Intelligence. Sangita has gained knowledge in Energy Markets across the US during her tenure at Customized. With a strong technical background and solid understanding of the energy business, Sangita provides solutions to complex technical problems.

Sangita has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Master’s degree in Computer Science from University of Kentucky, Lexington and Data Science certificate from Harvard University. She is a Microsoft Certified Solution Associate and a certified Scrum Master.

 

Vikas joined Customized Energy Solutions, October 2017 as an ETL Architect. Prior to CES, Vikas worked as a Senior SQL Developer at NRG Energy. Vikas graduated with a Masters in Computer Application from Madurai Kamaraj University in India.

Kayla Gautreaux is a leading energy industry expert with over a decade of power generation, electricity rate design, and retail energy experience. She has worn many hats over the years, including specializations in client management, project management, program management, and most recently in business intelligence development and design.

Every business is different and unique, and Kayla prides herself on delivering creative and sustainable solutions to assist with data tracking and understanding by crafting analytical tools that enable visibility into financial and operational data for CES’s product portfolio.

Kayla is currently working in the role of Business Intelligence Development Manager, where she manages a team of developers and is responsible for data accuracy, tool acceptance, development best practices, and stakeholder satisfaction.”

Wesley Gibson joined Customized Energy Solutions as System Operator in June 2021. Prior to joining CES, Wesley was a Maintenance Technician at The Scion Group LLC where he updated property management software daily to ensure proper documentation of work for upper management. Wesley is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s in Energy and Mineral Engineering.

I have joined CES in January 2025 and prior to join CES I was QA analyst with 9 years of experience in Banking domain.

In those 9 years I have worked on 2 projects with  Manual and automation testing , SOAP UI testing,  selenium with Java and TOSCA UI automation testing. I have also done ISTQB founder level certification. I have worked on banking related projects where I tested functionalities like POS transactions, ACH , Plastic cards transactions, Account and Loans processing.

Sumeet joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2019 after working as a Network and Systems Engineer. He has around 7 years of total experience in IT domain. Sumeet is a CCNA and CCNP certified professional.

Along with IT domain, Sumeet has marketing experience of around 4 years working, with Multinationals like S C Johnson, ITC, etc.

Sumeet has a Dual MBA in IT from Welingkar’s Institute of Management, Mumbai and in Marketing Management from Pune University.

Revati is currently working as an Analyst in the Emerging Technologies (ET) team at Customized Energy Solutions (CES) India. She joined CES in December 2024 and brings expertise in control systems, power systems, and optimization.

She is in the final stages of completing her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, where she also earned her M. Tech in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems). She holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).

During her research tenure, Revati collaborated internationally with institutions such as Stanford University and has published extensively in prestigious journals, demonstrating her expertise in mathematical modelling, optimization, and power systems.

Akash joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2024 as Data and Billing Analyst on the Retail Team.

Akash has expertise of almost 2+ years in SQL, Power BI, and Data Analysis with experience in optimizing payment gateways and improving transaction success rates for Bangalore Airport.

Akash holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Dr D.Y. Patil Institute Of Technology, Pune.

Shally joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2023. She is responsible for building a strong ecosystem for India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) Members and maximizing their engagement with a goal to increase the ratio of member retention.

She holds a bachelor’s degree specialized in Renewable Energy and has 5 years of work experience within the solar industry. Prior to joining CES, she worked with NSEFI where she did value addition by building WISE portal. It was launched by the Finance Minister of India and conceptualized and initiated the member dashboard to enhance the work engagement with the association members.

Sandeep joined CES in February 2018 as a Director of Business Development. He is currently responsible for reaching to corporates and institutional users who can benefit from electrical storage and energy trading. He is also leading business development efforts for energy storage projects from CES and its clients. Prior to CES, Sandeep worked as an independent consultant. He has received a Masters of Technology in Microwave Electronics from Delhi University.

Cindy is a member of the CES Market IQ team, covering the MISO Region. Before joining CES, Cindy worked for both a regulated utility and an independent power producer, most recently serving as the Energy Markets & Regulatory Compliance Manager at ALLETE Clean Energy. She has overseen NERC compliance and policy management across numerous Regional Transmission Organizations. Throughout her career, Cindy has gained extensive experience in optimizing energy transactions, shaping market strategies, and managing regulatory and legal agreements.

Since 2018, she has been an influential member of the North American Energy Markets Association (NAEMA) Board. Cindy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and a Master of Arts in Management from the College of Saint Scholastica.

Nikhil Havele joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2023 as an E-Mobility Consultant in the Emerging Technologies division.

Over his 15-year professional journey, Nikhil has accumulated valuable experiences at organizations such as Ford Motor Company (Michigan, USA), Mahindra Automotive, and Plante Moran. During his 12-year tenure at Ford, he gained deep insights into the electrification landscape of the automotive industry.

Nikhil’s expertise lies in strategic planning and delivering comprehensive strategy consulting services. He excels in conducting market analyses, performing due diligence activities, and formulating tailored growth strategies.

Nikhil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune, a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan), and an MBA in Strategy and Marketing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Angela joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2020 as a data analyst on the Retail Operations team. She is responsible for client support and problem resolution and testing functions to support Retail Operations.

Prior to joining CES, Angela worked as an EDI analyst and supplier support lead for UGI Utilities, Inc. Angela holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Penn State University and a master’s degree in Energy Economics from the University of Milan.

Jeannette Henderson joined Customized Energy Solutions in September 2020. Prior to working at CES, she worked for CubeSmart where she developed project estimates and timelines, managed IT staffing, resource plans and budget estimates, and HR matters. Jeannette has her MSIS from Penn State Great Valley and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Widener University.

Eric Hendrick joined Customized Energy Solutions in March as a Senior Consultant for Risk Management and Origination.  Eric was concurrently Head of Supply & Trading for Guttman Energy from May 2014 through November 2015 where he lead a team in the hedging of its Appalachia natural gas and PJM power portfolios. Eric used his extensive finance and energy trading background with high attention to market analysis and risk management to ensure adequate margins for Guttman. Eric marketed power and natural gas while skillfully monitoring and analyzing the energy exchange, resulting in competitive energy prices for Guttman Energy’s customers.

Trinh has nine years of diverse experience in software testing, designing test cases, testing plan and requirement analytical. She worked as a Sr. QA in systems in healthcare and digital asset management prior to joining CES.

She is a graduate of Information Technology from University of Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.

Binh joined CES as a QA and worked with the development team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Prior to joining CES, she started with FPT Ho Chi Minh and worked as a senior QA for over 8 years in various industries. She also has 2 years of experience in a start-up company in Thailand. She has been involved in all parts of the software development cycle, such as interacting with clients to make clear requirements and working on testing as part of projects.

Alex joined CES in 2016 as a System Operator on the 24 hour renewable generation monitoring desk.  His responsibilities include the monitoring of wind turbines at 8 different sites located in the United States, communicating with wind park technicians at each site, as well as curtailing, remote resetting, and reporting on the condition and performance of the sites he oversees.  He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Administration from Marywood University and worked as a commodity futures trader before joining CES, while maintaining an active music career as a guitarist.

Ginger joined Customized in 2010 as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist. Ginger provides reporting services regarding ongoing developments in the policies and rules of MISO markets. Previously, she worked at MISO as a Stakeholder Relations Specialist. In that role, she stayed familiar with wide-ranging MISO developments, policy and procedural issues, and stakeholder views.

Ginger earned a BS in Political Science from Malone College in Canton, OH and completed her MBA at Kelley School of Business.

Yuriy joined CES in August 2021. He received extensive training as a Full Stack Developer at University of Pennsylvania. He has experience in React and is responsible for developing software applications and contributing to the increasing technology needs of the company.

Yuriy has an MS in Engineering from Lviv Polytechnic University, Ukraine

Charlie Howland joined Customized Energy Solutions as its outside General Counsel in October, 2019.  He is a partner and head of the Environmental Group at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, an international law firm headquartered in New York City where he advises U.S. and foreign clients on all aspects of environmental and energy law.  Among his focuses are legal issues associated with ‘grid edge’ energy projects, including financing and siting renewable energy projects on environmentally impaired lands (‘brightfields’).

Charlie joined Curtis after a 28 year career at the USEPA, where he served as Senior Assistant Regional Counsel at the agency’s Region 3 office working on complex site cleanups and enforcement actions, as well as several guidance-writing workgroups.  During a leave of absence from the agency in 2008-09 he served as general counsel for a renewable energy developer.

In 2018 he served as Senior Advisor to EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, helping to implement Superfund Task Force reforms.  In 2019 EPA appointed Charlie to the Superfund Working Group of the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council, which advises the EPA Administrator on how to better ensure community acceptance of Superfund cleanups and revitalization of communities in a manner that recognizes the unique burdens and vulnerabilities of adjacent environmental justice populations.

He currently serves as a member of the board of the Energy Coordinating Agency, which provides programs to help address the energy needs of low-income Philadelphians through energy conservation, education, heating, and home repair services.  Between 2004 and 2018 he served on the Lower Merion Township Planning Commission, the last four years as co-chair.

Charlie has presented at numerous professional conferences on various environmental and energy law issues.  He has taught environmental and energy law at several different universities in the U.S. and abroad, including Energy Law at Villanova Law and Navigating the Regulatory State: Law, Science and Policy at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.  He has been named a U.S. State Department Fulbright Fellow Specialist, pursuant to which he taught energy law at the UiT: Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø as part of its efforts to create a new Joint Nordic Master Programme in Environmental and Energy Law in September, 2019.  In September and October of 2022 he served a second Fulbright term teaching environmental and energy law at the Tashkent State University of Law in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Charlie holds a B.A. from Cornell University, and a J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law.  He has also completed executive education programs at the Harvard University JFK School of Government (Understanding Environmental Economics: Strategies for Policy Makers and Managers) and the U.S. Department of Energy National Renewable Energy Laboratory (Energy Executive Leadership Institute).

Alan Hunt joined Customized Energy Solutions as a System Operator in April of 2022. Prior to joining CES, Alan worked as an Electrical Engineering Associate at Burns Engineering, Inc and specialized in the analysis, design, and construction of advanced power systems. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Energy Engineering.

Jeff has over twenty years of experience in the energy industry. He provides market intelligence and regulatory advisory services to wholesale energy clients active in the ISO New England markets as well as assists clients with market intelligence and analysis on emerging technologies such as energy storage. He has testified before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and State regulatory agencies on issues including asset divestitures, financial assurance and power market design.

Before joining Customized Energy Solutions in 2015, Jeff was a Senior Associate with the Alliance Risk Group providing risk advisory and regulatory compliance consulting services to a wide range of electricity clients in the US Northeast. Prior to joining Alliance, he was at ISO New England for eight years where he served as Manager, Market & Credit Risk before joining Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company as Director of Commodities and Treasurer.  He began his career at Levitan & Associates where he focused on conducting generator asset valuations in support of electric utility divestitures.

Jeff holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College.

Ankit Idwani joined Customized Energy Solutions in January 2025 as a Senior Analyst, Energy Storage. His work focuses on energy transition materials, electric mobility, BESS and green hydrogen, with expertise in value chain analysis, market development, techno-economic modelling and policy advisory. Ankit holds a B.Tech. in Engineering Physics from IIT Delhi.
Before CES, Ankit worked with Ernst & Young on projects for the ADB, World Bank and state governments, focusing on e-mobility adoption pathways, battery waste management, critical minerals processing and hydrogen policy design. He has also worked in a startup on product development of solar PV tiles, where his work involved designing and testing, process optimization, quality assurance and performance analysis, equipping him with strong technical R&D and problem-solving skills.

Sharon joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2022 as a Retail Senior Data and Billing Analyst.  Prior to CES, Sharon worked for Direct Energy Business/NRG Energy for over 9 years as a Senior Billing Analyst. She worked on production billing, testing, process improvements and was a SME for more junior analysts.

Sharon earned her accounting degree and master’s degree at Robert Morris University.

Jimy joined Customized Energy Solutions as a UI Architect in May 2022.

Jimy is responsible for designing, building, and supporting scalable UI applications along with implementing crucial technical decisions in coding web applications, maintaining aesthetics and ensuring that our web applications are user-friendly while maintaining quality.

Jimy was a Senior Software Engineer at Cybage Software before he joined CES and has experience working on multiple front-end applications using various java script frameworks. He has played a critical role in leading the innovation and growth of the front-end team.

Jimy holds a master’s degree in computer application and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Pune.

Anil works as a Lab Analyst at CES. He Joined Customized Energy Solutions in Jan 2019. He is part of the Technical Teams, battery & Solar Testing Laboratory at CES Pune.

Prior to joining CES, he has more than 2 years of experience in Solar sector, Renewable Energy, Machine Shop & Utility maintenance.

He has graduated from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics & Power Engineering.

Sehar Jaferani joined Customized Energy Solutions as Manager - Events & Conferences in May 2023. She currently manages all the conferences and events for CES and India Energy Storage Alliance.

Prior to joining CES, Sehar has 6.5 years of experience in the conference industry. She worked as a Client Experience Manager at Fast Company Middle East- a business media brand. She was responsible for VIP & delegate acquisition and client experience for all events, conferences and award ceremonies in the Middle East market. She has also worked with Active Communications International as a Senior Delegate Sales Manager for all European & Asian conferences.

Sehar holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology.

Mohit Jagtap joined Customized Energy Solutions in September 2021 as a Software Developer.

He has seven years of experience in software development lifecycle including analysis, design documentation, interaction with clients to resolve ambiguity/clarification on the requirements, and web-based application development using Microsoft Technologies.

He holds a bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Information Technology from North Maharashtra University.

 

Akshay works as a business analyst at Customized Energy Solutions. He joined CES in September 2020. He is involved in scheduling operations and demand response programme of energy storage systems in electricity markets. He comes with 8+ years of experience of IT utility domain especially of smart grid, meter data management, workflow management system & customer care & billing solution.

Prior to joining CES, Akshay worked with a MNC in Business and IT Consulting space and has served utility clients in all major markets including USA, UK and Asia Pacific.

Akshay holds master’s in business administration (Power) from University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Anurag joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2023 and is responsible for coordinating the activities of trainings and certificate programs of IESA Academy.

Anurag is an experienced academician with a strong background in teaching, curriculum design, content creation, and training. Additionally, he published 7 books on Chemistry. He did his Masters (Chemistry) from Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University, Sagar, India. Currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Chemistry. He holds various certifications including “Digital Literacy, Unconscious Bias, Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, and Data Science”.

Carl joined Customized in October 2013. He reports on stakeholder activities at PJM Interconnection and represents the PJM Public Power Coalition.

Tristan Jones joined Customized Energy Solutions as a Generation Operator for the MOC Desk in February of 2025. Prior to joining CES, Tristan was a Control Room Operator at Miller Brothers Solar and Ormat Technologies. In his prior roles, he has specialized in SCADA systems, electrical equipment,  renewable energy, and operating ancillary service energy markets.

Gayatri joined CES in March 2022 as a Lab Operations Manager. She is part of the battery R&D team.

Gayatri holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Before joining CES, Gayatri worked with h2e Power Systems as an electrical engineer and also contributed in the development of solid oxide fuel cell.

Manoj joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2022. He comes with over 3.5 years of experience in the IT industry as Salesforce Admin/Developer and over 6 years of experience in customer experience and client relations management. His areas of expertise include SFDC configuration, customization, requirement gathering, and more.

He has worked on SFDC development using apex classes, VF pages, triggers, batch classes, and more. He has experience working with automation tools like Process Builder, Flows, and Approval Process and experience in data modelling and security settings of Salesforce.

He is Salesforce Platform Developer I certified. He holds his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) from Cochin University of Science & Technology - Kerala, India, Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Anna University - Tamil Nadu, India & Diploma in Management from Edith Cowan University – Perth, Australia.

He was working with Cognizant Technology Solutions, Bangalore as Associate – Project (EAS - SALESFORCE) prior to joining CES.

Tushar Kakade joined the CES India team as an intern in September 2020. Since February 2021, he works as a Junior Analyst for the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) team at CES India. He is currently involved in managing IESA Store and IESA Academy platforms and driving industry-academic partnerships. He is also working on the electric vehicle side, driving EV adopter circle activities and EV roundtables, as well as contributing to market surveys and market research. Before joining CES, Tushar worked as a Service Engineer in the electric vehicle industry in Pune. He was responsible for the diagnosis of vehicles and solving problems. He also handled customers for technical issues. He also worked with the leading EduTech company in Pune as a Technical Content Correspondent for the website, social media, and blogs on electric vehicle technology. He completed his ME in Energy Engineering from SP Pune University in 2018. His area of research was Renewable Energy-Gasification Technology. He completed his Mechanical Engineering in 2015 from SP Pune University.

Priyanka Kakade joined CES in October 2022. Prior to joining CES, she was a Quality Assurance Engineer, where she had more than 3 years of IT experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, Web application, CRM testing in Telecom domain, Healthcare domain and Payment Gateway domain. She has expertise in Automation Testing and Manual Testing and is proficient in Python.

Slawa joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2014. His responsibilities include but not limited to Business Intelligence Stack and .NET development. During his career Slawa has worked as Application Developer with different technologies from Machine Codes and C / C++ to Data Warehousing.  Slawa graduated from Saint-Petersburg State Institute of Technology and has M.S. in Engineering Technologies.

Dr. Ajinkya S. Kamat joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2022. His work focuses on green hydrogen and supporting policymakers, R&D institutions, and industries in developing public-private partnerships in clean energy R&D and innovation.

Before joining CES, Ajinkya gained seven years of postdoctoral research experience at Harvard University, USA, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. During this time, he also consulted in clean energy domain in the USA. Ajinkya’s postdoctoral work has analyzed technology innovation policy issues and techno-economic modelling related to transnational industrial R&D and clean energy technologies including LED lighting, photovoltaics, networked geothermal, and green hydrogen.

He has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals and public media, and his work has also been cited in reputed news media. Ajinkya obtained his PhD in Physics from the University of Virginia, USA, M.Sc. in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India, and B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Mumbai, India with the top rank in the University.

Shubham joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2025 as a Cloud Engineer. With over 3 years of experience in cloud computing and DevOps, he specializes in designing, deploying, and managing solutions on AWS. His expertise includes infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and applying cloud security best practices to build reliable and scalable systems. Shubham holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Savitribai Phule Pune University, India.

Prakash joined CES in Nov 2021 as QA Testing Analyst.

Prior to this, Prakash worked as Sr Test Engineer with Wipro Technologies since 2018.

Prakash has very diverse experience in Manual Testing of applications along with Functional, API(Webservices+Postman), database and ETL testing.

He has extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and E2E testing. He previously worked in banking, insurance and freight payment industries.

He completed M. Tech in VLSI Design from JNTU Hydrabad University.

Jin joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2021.

He worked as technical support engineer for telecom systems and messaging systems at various companies for 10 years.

His role at CES is technical support engineer where he supports BLUEj and CES AI-OCR products in Japan.

Suchita joined Customized Energy Solutions in September 2022 as a QA Analyst on the Retail team. She has experience in software testing and quality assurance including manual, database, and Datawarehouse ETL testing. Prior to joining CES, Suchita was committed to Agile Methodology, System, API and UI testing.

Suchita received her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Mounika Karampudi joined CES in June of 2018 as a SQL Server Analyst. Mounika is responsible for providing production support for retail operations, billing, reporting, and database maintenance in CES BLUE. Prior to joining CES, Mounika worked in Belgium with StepStone as Database Developer, where she took the lead for maintaining and monitoring database performance and fixing production issues. She also has working experience as Database Administrator. Mounika graduated from University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) with a masters in Computer Science.

Benjamin Kerecman joined Customized Energy Solutions as a Generation Operator on the OCC desk in June 2024. Benjamin is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s in Energy Business and Finance. Prior to joining CES, Benjamin interned in the Operations Room where he helped in any areas needed.

Aliza Khan joined Customized Energy Solutions as Junior Billing Analyst in July 2018. Aliza provides billing support for the retail team and focuses on complex billing and bill ready (EDI bills) process. Prior to working at CES, she worked for Thomas Cook process for credit control team and managed account receivable debt. Aliza attended University of Pune and has her MBA in Finance.

Sameer Khirpurikar has 5 years of experience in regulatory and policy advocacy in the solar energy sector. He is well acquainted with regulatory structure and market reforms in Indian context. Before joining CES, Sameer was associated with the regulatory and policy team at Amplus Solar and worked on policy & regulation related to the solar energy sector, submitted suggestions from industry and developers’ point of view and represented the company on various regulatory forums.

Sameer pursued his MBA in Power Management from National Power Training Institute, Faridabad and holds his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Jonghyun joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2014. He is responsible for developing ETL processes, internal and customer facing interactive reports and other technology initiatives. Jonghyun has a background in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Application Development.  Jonghyun has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Ajou University, South Korea and a Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University, Texas.

Kevin joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2009. He is responsible for the operations of the real-time data acquisition systems at Customized, and the development of new control system technologies.

Kevin has over 25 years of experience in the electric energy and aerospace industries. Before joining Customized, Kevin was a Senior Engineer and Project Manager at the PJM Interconnection for 11 years. At PJM, Kevin was responsible for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems that enabled smaller customers to directly connect to the ISO.

Paul joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2021 as an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst. He assists in the setup, testing, and maintenance of new and existing customers’ EDI documents in our system. Prior to this, Paul gained experience as an EDI Developer in the manufacturing and technology industries. He graduated from Thomas Edison State University with his BS in Information Technology.

 

Aniket Kotpalliwar joined CES in February 2023 as a Business Intelligence Analyst. His areas of expertise include BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx along with techno functional experience in the areas of business consulting and analytics.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from G.H Raisoni college of Engineering, Nagpur and a post graduate diploma in international business from Pune university.

Prior to joining CES, Aniket worked for a luxury brand Swarovski as a Project Coordinator for five years, and before that he also had a short stint with an Oil & gas company Dodsal Group in UAE as an Interface coordinator.

Jim joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2008 as Director of SPP Regulatory Affairs. While Jim is still active in the SPP stakeholder process, Jim now focuses on developing, performing, and managing consulting services for the SPP and ERCOT regions. He seeks to leverage his 14+ years of energy industry consulting experience in which he has provided services to ISO/RTOs, load serving entities, investment banks, IPPs, resource developers, investors, and software vendors.

Prior to working in the energy industry, Jim served in the U.S. Army as an Armor Officer. Jim holds a BBA degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Alex joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2016. He is responsible for Development, Maintenance, Change Management, QA, Deployment and 24/7 support of CESGREEN application.

Prior to joining CES Alex worked as IT contractor on US Army projects.

Alex spend 14 years working as Sr. Web Developer at UBS Bank where he was responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting critical J2EE and Mainframe banking and brokerage applications.

Alex has a MS in Computer Science from Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

 

Nimita joined CES as Python Developer in September 2022. Prior to joining CES, Nimita worked at Prayas (Energy Group), Pune, a premier think tank where she worked on Production Cost Simulation modelling of Maharashtra’s power sector and published a report on the same. She has also analyzed electric smart meter data using machine learning and data visualization techniques.

She has earned her master's degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California.

Viraj Rajendra Kulkarni has joined as Assistant Manager - Finance and Accounts at Customized Energy Solutions (CES) in December 2023. His key responsibilities encompass overseeing accounting records, coordinating audits, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and maintaining the accuracy of financial information. Before joining CES, Viraj garnered over 5 years of experience in Taxation and Auditing. He holds a Master of Commerce degree from Pune University and is presently pursuing the Chartered Accountants course (CA Final) from ICAI.

Dr. Param Kumar is the founding president of NirvanaSoft Inc. which designed and marketed the premier software solution for back-office processes including customer service, billing, and settlements for energy service companies.

Param has served on many industry organizations and boards and was involved in the electricity deregulation process since its inception in 1998 as a member of the PJM Restructuring Committee. Param’s clients in the past included some of the most sophisticated retail energy marketers including Con Edison Solutions, PSEG of New Jersey, Constellation, Direct Energy, BP, Calpine, Hess Corporation, Wal-Mart, MidAmerican Energy, Agway Energy Services, EDF Trading North America and Xcel Energy.

Most recently, Param was the Executive Vice President at Hansen Technologies North America, and prior to starting NirvanaSoft, Param worked in the media and telecom industries, with Time Warner Inc. where he held several senior management positions over a period of fifteen years and was last the Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations at Warner Music Enterprises.

Param holds an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University, England and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Columbia University, New York. Besides mathematics and computers, Param claims some degree of expertise in south Indian vegetarian cooking.

Anjali Kumari is a QA Automation Engineer with over 5 years of experience across Finance, Travel, and Human Resource domains. She specializes in developing and implementing automated test scripts using frameworks like Selenium, Rest Assured, TestNG, and Cucumber. Anjali is well-versed in all stages of the SDLC and STLC, with a strong focus on agile and scrum methodologies.

Her technical expertise includes Java, JavaScript, SQL, and proficiency in tools like JMeter, Postman, and Jenkins. Anjali excels in API, Performance, Load, Database, and Security Testing, ensuring robust application performance and security. She has a proven track record in enhancing product stability, optimizing system efficiency, and improving software quality. Anjali holds a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication.

Brad has over twenty years of experience in the public utility industry. The bulk of that time has been spent in energy trading, generation dispatching, and RTO market settlements. He serves as a Senior Consultant, Market Intelligence for clients in the SPP region.

Prior to CES, Brad led a team of analysts at Lincoln Electric System responsible for congestion hedging, wholesale billing, meter data management, and SPP settlements. His responsibilities also included market registration, resources strategy development, and resource performance analysis. Brad is involved with the SPP stakeholder process and has experience implementing changes related to member-facing initiatives.

Brad was a NERC certified System Operator for 19 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Energy Management from Bismarck State College and an MBA from Louisiana State University – Shreveport.

Nghia Le is from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where he works as a full-stack developer at CES. He has 7 years of experience as a dotnet software engineer with a focus on APIs and web development, and took the plunge into micro-services and Aws Cloud for a year.

He holds a B.S degree in Computer Science from Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam.

Duy joined Customized Energy Solutions projects in January 2018 as Software Engineer for the Retail Services team. He have worked with the development team in Japan, and officially joined CES in October 2021.

Prior to joining CES, Duy has 4 years of experience working in software industry, involved in all parts of the software development cycle, such as interacting with clients to get requirements and working on high level design, detail design, and coding as part of projects.

Duy received his B.S degree in Information System from the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Thao Le is a software engineer who recently joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2023. With five years of experience in the software industry, Thao has a strong background in developing and delivering innovative software solutions. Thao is passionate about problem-solving and enjoys tackling challenges that require creative thinking and a collaborative approach.

Thao holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and graduated in 2017.

As the Director of Product Development for FutureGrid Services at CES, Matt Lollini leads the innovation and development of GridBOOST, a software solution tool that optimizes and schedules grid-scale energy storage and renewable assets. He collaborates with CES Energy Traders and Market Experts to incorporate their insights into the GridBOOST platform and leverage the opportunities of market programs and rule changes. Matt also oversees the PowerGREEN application, which helps large industrial customers optimize their energy consumption and participate in grid programs at the state and ISO levels. He recently launched PowerGREEN Lite, a solution that connects small commercial to large industrial customers to the Capacity Programs in Japan and provides them with real-time meter visibility and baselines for accurate dispatch and participation.

Prior to joining CES Matt worked for 5 years at Powerit Solutions as a Mechanical Engineer helping large industrials automate reductions in their energy usage and participate in Emergency Demand Response programs.

Chris Lyons serves as Senior Consultant, Market Intelligence – SPP for CES. He has 25 years of experience working within the stakeholder processes across several energy markets including PJM, MISO, ERCOT, and SPP. Prior to joining CES, Mr. Lyons was Senior Manager of Wholesale Market Design with Exelon Corporation, one of the nation’s largest energy suppliers, where he was responsible for sponsoring and advocating for market rule changes to reduce the company’s compliance risk. Prior to Exelon, Mr. Lyons held a variety of positions with Constellation Energy, a Fortune 500 company that provides generation, distribution, wholesale, and retail energy services to residential and commercial customers. Mr. Lyons’ experience with Constellation includes retail and wholesale supply transactions, transmission scheduling, and NERC compliance. Mr. Lyons holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University and an MBA from the University of Baltimore.

 

Tess joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2023 as a renewable energy analyst for the Renewable Energy Management team. Her role includes managing client Renewable Portfolio Standard positions, Renewable Energy Credits, and regulatory and compliance processes.

Prior to joining CES, Tess worked at the California Public Utilities Commission primarily on renewable energy planning, procurement, and compliance. Tess graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and Public Policy.

 

Ankit works as a full-time Software Developer at Customized Energy Solutions. He joined CES in December 2021. His main responsibilities at CES include software development and enhancement for the COMETS suite of tools. He works with optimization and deep learning models geared towards optimization of energy storage resource.

Prior to joining CES, he worked on full-stack development of a trading BOT for the Indian stock exchange. He also worked on the implementation of double auction in the energy market, weighing several bidding strategies to identify the optimal one and deploying it on the Ethereum blockchain through a smart contract.

FinTech, Data Science, and Blockchain Technology are three of his areas of interest.

In 2021, he received his master's degree in electrical engineering with specialization in control systems from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute(VJTI), Mumbai. Throughout the coursework, his research focused on the applications of machine learning algorithms to electrical systems.

Chris joined Customized Energy in April 2011 after working as an Information Technology consultant for CES for more than five years.  Prior to joining CES full-time, Chris assisted with infrastructure design and upgrades as well as integration between CES, ISO market participants and RTOs.

Chris has 15 years of experience in various aspects of the IT field and SMB consulting.  Chris graduated from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales, now DeSales University, in 1997 with a BS in Computer Science, Information Technology and a minor in Business Management.

Ravi Mahto joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2024, bringing over 8 years of experience in policy and regulatory affairs, particularly within the energy sector. As a Senior Manager, Policy & Regulatory at CES, Ravi leads the development of high-impact policy briefs, strategic reports, and stakeholder engagement strategies to advance India’s energy ecosystem. His work focuses on fostering collaboration between government entities, industry leaders, and NGOs to drive sustainability, climate action, and innovation in the sector.

Ravi has successfully managed complex projects across corporate, consulting, and government domains, showcasing a deep understanding of regulatory landscapes and international development challenges. Notably, he has worked directly with a Member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly as a fellow, gaining hands-on experience in governance and public policy formulation.

With a multidisciplinary background, Ravi brings expertise in governance, finance, trade, digital economy, international business, and sustainable energy. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in International Business & Finance from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi, a Master’s in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai, and a Master’s in Development Studies. Additionally, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Electronics from the University of Delhi.

Quyen has more than 4 years of experience in different technology projects. Before he started working at CES, he was a QA Engineer and Scrum Master. He really likes solving problems, coming up with new ideas for making things better, and working together with others to solve tough challenges using creative thinking and teamwork.

Hung has worked in the IT industry as a database developer and database administrator since 2013. Before joining CES, he worked on credit card payment management projects at Aperia and education projects at Axon Active.

Hung graduated from Duy Tan University majoring in Management Information Systems.

Samrudhi joined CES in August 2024 as a Software Developer. With a solid background in front-end development, she has extensive experience in creating dynamic and responsive web and mobile applications using technologies such as Angular, React Native, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Ionic.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Pune University.

Mukundi joined CES in January 2026 after completing a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cape Town. He is a motivated engineering professional with a strong foundation in software development, systems integration, and applied problem-solving. He has hands-on experience with programming languages including Python, Java, C, and a background in electronic systems, data analysis, and applying AI/ML to solve real-world problems. Mukundi has contributed to project implementation, data analysis and development of solutions for CES CARES. He thrives in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments. His core strengths include analytical thinking, software and AI development, and collaborative project execution. Outside of work, Mukundi enjoys playing the drums and surfing whenever he’s near the ocean.

 

Carla joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2013.  Her current role as part of the Retail Services team includes assisting clients with new market entry and enrollments. Carla gained over 13 years of experience in the energy industry working for GE Nuclear Energy and Constellation NewEnergy as a software engineer and production support analyst. Some of her duties included the implementation and support for monitoring, billing, and enrollment systems for multiple markets throughout the US. She has a BA in Computer Information Science from University of California, Santa Cruz.

Cole joined the United States Navy in 2012 and served aboard the USS Chicago for 5 years. After serving in the Navy, Cole attended Drexel University starting September 2018. He achieved his bachelor’s in computer engineering in September 2023.

Tom joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2015, working with the Demand Side Response group. He came to Customized from the former Powerit Solutions. He brings significant applied Demand Control and Demand Response implementation knowledge from his previous experience as Principal Engineer/Implementation Manager at Powerit.

Before he joined Customized, Tom also worked at the Spencer Turbine Company, Wood Group Pratt & Whitney and brings over 20 years of extensive industrial application experience. He has a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering from UMASS-Amherst.

Patrick McCullar is the President and owner of Smart Perspectives, LLC, an advisory and consulting company exclusively serving the electric utility industry. Patrick has 30 years of experience and expertise in utility construction, operations and regulatory management of generation and transmission assets. He has recently served as the Strategic Advisor-Special Projects for American Municipal Power, Inc. Patrick is the past President & CEO of the Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation, Inc. (DEMEC), a Delaware Generation and Transmission Utility. He has played a principal leadership role in the PJM Interconnection Stakeholder Process as Past Chair of the PJM Member’s Committee, serving on the PJM Board Liaison Committee, Finance Committee, Nominating Committee, and as Representative of the Electric Distributor’s Sector. He is also a founding member of the PJM Public Power Coalition, which represents Load Serving Entities and Transmission Dependent Utilities at PJM. Patrick is a past Chair of the Delmarva Peninsula Planning Association, a regional transmission and distribution planning group composed of all electric utilities on the Delmarva Peninsula. He served as a Board Member of the American Public Power Association; American Municipal Power, Inc.; and The Transmission Access Policy Study Group. Patrick has served as a registered lobbyist for Public Power utilities and organizations at the Federal and State level. He has testified before the U.S. Congress and is a frequent technical speaker at FERC, PJM, and national technical conferences. Patrick holds degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Missouri.

Steve joined CES in November 2011.  He recently joined our Mid Atlantic Wholesale Services Team offering scheduling, dispatch and settlement services for clients with assets located in the PJM Regional Transmission Organization (RTO).  Steve previously shared responsibilities for CES regulatory coverage of the PJM RTO and has a background in market development, market operations and economics.

Steve has worked for investor owned utilities, as well as  independent generation developers and cooperatives, focusing on the development of and participation in, a number of RTOs throughout the U.S.  He started his career as an economist at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and worked for Southern California Edison for thirteen years in various capacities associated with both the traditional regulated environment as well as the transition to a market based paradigm with the creation of the CAISO.  For the past fifteen years Steve has been responsible for integrating new and existing assets into the deregulated markets in the East.

Brandon first joined CES in June of 2011 as a system operator and currently holds the position of Director – Market Operations Center. Prior to joining CES, Brandon obtained a BA in Economics from Rowan University.

Brandon’s current responsibilities include overseeing the CES 24/7 Market Operations Center which consists of two monitoring desks: Market Operation Center (MOC) and Operations Control Center (OCC).

The CES 24-hour Market Operations Center is fully staffed with regional grid operator-certified personnel who perform wholesale forward market offers, real-time generation offers, scheduling and monitoring, curtailment management, and reserve and regulation offers and monitoring. Servicing a portfolio spanning all major RTO/ISO’s located in North America and consisting of approximately 9 Gigawatts of installed capacity with a diverse fuel mixture including: wind, hydro, solar, battery, natural gas and fossil generation facilities.

Erica has a focus on client support in BLUE Administration and account updates along with assisting with change request management.

Erica joined CES with a background in data management and integration, client support, and sales. She was responsible for providing clients with onboardings, customized trainings, and consulting services to help meet their business goals along with data collection, input, and quality assurance.

Mike joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2009 and currently manages all market activity for CES in the west and specifically CES’ diverse Scheduling Coordinator portfolio in the CAISO market that includes competitive Load Serving Entities, dispatchable wind/solar, energy storage, and Proxy Demand Resources.  In addition, Mike assists with retail services, CRR optimization, CAISO regulatory affairs, and advises on emerging technology participation in wholesale markets.  Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Mike worked for Shell Energy North America from 2006-2009 where he managed the CAISO nodal market implementation.  Mike was responsible for all aspects of the transition from the zonal market to the current nodal market structure, including policy development, contracts, deal structuring and trade strategy, retail load management, CRRs, settlements, and systems development and integration. Mike has nearly 20 years of energy industry experience and began his career working in the CAISO settlement’s group from 2000-2005.

Matthew Meade joined Customized Energy Solutions as System Operator in July 2021. Prior to CES, Matthew was a Photovoltaic Energy Systems Operator for Miller Bros Solar. Matthew has a background in the power plant industry, having worked at Wheelabrator in Westville, NJ and Logan Generation in Logan Township, NJ.

Charles Mewalal joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2024 as Help Desk Support Technician. Prior to joining CES, Charles worked in security and has 19 years of experience.

Michael started working for CES in the spring of 2015 as an intern while attending Drexel University. After completing the internship, Michael was hired part time. In June of 2017, Michael came on board full time after finishing school and earning a degree in computer engineering. I now work as a consultant for Data Acquisition Services.

Akansha joined CES in May 2018 as a SQL Server Developer. She has a background in development and testing of ETL processes, business intelligence and data warehousing. Akansha completed her Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering from UPTU University, India.

Chip Minto joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2025 as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He is responsible for leading CES’ sales and marketing strategy across all business lines, with a focus on driving sustainable growth, enhancing client engagement, and building scalable processes to support the company’s expanding global presence.
Chip has over two decades of experience in sales leadership, strategic partnerships, and business development across the energy, technology, and nonprofit sectors. His expertise includes developing repeatable sales processes, scaling go-to-market strategies, and aligning marketing initiatives with long-term growth objectives. At CES, he is spearheading efforts to strengthen sales team structure, elevate client outreach, and refine trade show and conference engagement.
Before joining CES, Chip served in senior sales and leadership roles where he built and led high-performing teams, launched new products, and established strategic partnerships, built and scaled startups, and worked closely with mission-driven organizations. He brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial drive and disciplined execution to his role at CES.

Vishal joined CES in January 2021 as Business Analyst. He has over 12+ years’ experience of a unique fusion of technical competence, customer needs management, info-architecting/consulting, client liaison, and creative design support. He is well versed in business analysis, requirement gathering, evaluating operations, and developing successful updates to processes, procedures, workflows, and documentation. He worked as a senior consultant, business analyst, and technical leader in various industries including healthcare, marketing, accounting, & BFSI. Prior to CES, he worked with the best in the industry like PEPSI-CO, RANBAXY, PANASONIC, KPMG, UNIDO, CAPCO, and more.

Vishal holds a master’s degree in computer science from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Kanpur University.

Siddhi Mohite is a Full Stack .NET Developer at Customized Energy Solutions (CES), having joined the company on April 28, 2025. She holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and has 2.5 years of prior industry experience. Siddhi is currently a member of the GridBOOST team and reports to Pari Bhandari.
At CES, she is responsible for writing clean, scalable, and testable code, contributing to both client-side and server-side development. She actively participates in architecture discussions, project planning, and the design of user interface improvements for internal and external web-based products.

Leilani joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2011.  As part of the Retail Services team, her responsibilities include assisting clients with new market entry, enrollments, billing, forecasting and pricing.

Leilani worked previously for Constellation NewEnergy where she gained over 10 years of experience in retail energy operations and IT support for various regions throughout the company.  She has a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Elvis Momanyi joined CES in November 2019 as System Operator. His current responsibilities include monitoring, diagnosing, and implementing wind park curtailments at locations throughout multiple ISO’s. Additionally, he is responsible for coordinating both planned and unplanned outages with different transmission operators and ISO’s and providing weekly and month to date reporting on site performance conditions to the customer. He is also responsible for managing several battery storage units and the control of several Hydro generator units

 

Vishal Ravindra Morab joined Customized Energy Solutions ( CES) as Manager for Sales and Business Development for Emerging Technologies in August 2021. Before joining CES, Vishal worked with Schneider Electric India Pvt Ltd and ABB India Ltd. He has over 8 years of experience in the fields of sales, business development and marketing.

Vishal completed his bachelor’s in engineering in electrical discipline from Mumbai University.

Lia Mussie joined Customized Energy Solutions in March 2025 as a Renewable Compliance Analyst. She supports retail energy suppliers by navigating complex federal, state, and utility compliance requirements, managing clients’ renewable portfolio positions, and assisting with annual, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting and filings.

Lia holds a Bachelor's in Ecosystem Science and Policy and Political Science from the University of Miami, with minors in Sustainable Business and Public Health. She brings a diverse background in renewable energy policy, regulatory affairs, sustainability consulting, project management, and public engagement.

Gaurav joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2019 as a Software Engineer. He has over three years of experience in software development sector in front-end development and back-end development.

He is responsible for detail-oriented UI design and development using technical web skills with a solid understanding of users’ perspectives. He holds a Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Computer Science from Pune University.

Sohan Sadanand Naik joined CES in October 2023 as Analyst - Market Research (Middle East and India) - Emerging Technologies. Sohan previously worked as an electrical engineer at Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (Vedanta Resources Plc) for two years. He has his engineering studies (B.Tech) in electrical and electronics engineering at SRM university and postgraduate studies in Management (MSc.) from Queen Mary University of London, UK. He's proficient in data analysis and project management skills.

Neetu Nair joined Customized Energy Solutions as Senior Manager, Business Development in July 2022. She is currently leading new member acquisition, marketing and membership services for IESA and developing corporate relationships with new and existing clients for business development activities. She has over 20 years of experience in marketing & business development.

Prior to IESA, she worked with IPPAI – Independent Power Producers Association of India for 9 years and was responsible for developing new business strategies, new member acquisition, sponsorship, and organizing International, National and State level conferences with special focus on the Energy sector. She has her MBA in Marketing.

Sumant H. Natkar has been working in the software service industry for the last 8 years. He has been involved in all parts of software development cycle such as interacting with clients to get requirements or working on code as part of projects. He has worked on Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server and Asp.Net. Previously, he was working with Cognizant, where he worked as a part of a team to deliver solutions to customers. He joined CES as developer.

Scott joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2015 after working as Information Technology Manager for Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association for over 9 years.  Prior to joining CES, Scott handle all of the technology needs from smartphones to servers and created a company intranet to enable collaboration.

Scott has 25 years of experience in various aspects of the IT field such as server management, SharePoint, networking, and end-user workstations. Scott graduated from Drexel University in 2003 with a BS in Information Science & Technology.

Karen has joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022, as Desktop Support Engineer for the Infrastructure Services Team. She brings over 10 years of Information Technology experience in the Healthcare Industry to her current role.

She holds multiple Associates Degrees from Delaware County Community College, including Information Technology - Web Development.

Scott recently joined Customized Energy Solutions in March 2023 as Senior Consultant - Western Energy Markets where his area of focus is providing coverage on CAISO policy, the Western Energy Imbalance Market, and other regulatory matters in the West.

Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Scott worked at American Transmission Corporation as Senior Regulatory Relations & Policy Analyst and before that as a Senior Generation Market Analyst at Alliant Energy where he worked on the creation, development, and management of the company’s Day-Ahead and Real-Time platform for the MISO energy market.  Scott also has had previous experience with AES Clean Energy and as an independent consultant working on various RTO and FERC policy issues. He obtained a BA in economics and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Zach joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2018 as a System Operator on the 24 hour renewable generation monitoring desk.  His responsibilities include monitoring and dispatching wind turbines at 8 different sites located in the United States and coordinating with wind park technicians at each site. Along with this, he is in charge of curtailing, remote resetting, analyzing and reporting on the condition and performance of the sites that he oversees. He is also responsible for managing several battery storage units across the country.

Before joining CES, Zach graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Energy, Business and Finance, with a minor in Energy Engineering. He began his career in the energy industry working in a business development and customer acquisition role for a renewable energy supplier.

Tin joined Customized Energy Solutions projects in May 2017 as Business Project Manager for the Retail Services team. He works with the consultant team in Japan, the development team in Vietnam and officially joined CES in October 2020.

Prior to joining CES, Tin worked in the software industry for over 3 years, working for companies in energy solutions technology. Tin has experience in project management (agile development), business analysis, Japanese translation, and graphic design. He has a B.S. of Business Information System from Can Tho University, Vietnam.

Tam joined CES in July 2021 as a Business Analyst in CES Blue. Prior to joining CES, Tam handled all the reports, system enhancements, and digital projects in the life insurance and healthcare domain. Tam has 6 years of experience in the creation of test results reports, test scenarios, and test cases. Tam also has experience in analyzing and reviewing functional requirements and specifications, and great knowledge in agile/scrum.

 

Tram joined CES in February 2022. As a Senior QA, she is part of a team where she conducts necessary testing activities to ensure the quality of product to the end-user. Not only does she ensure functional quality, but also ensures the user experience is in place.

Prior to joining CES, Deepika was a manual QA with over 10 years of experience in testing with SharePoint web-based applications, product of the transportation field and food services industry.

Duy Nguyen joined Customized Energy Solutions as Sr. Software Developer in May 2022. Duy has previous experience working with UK clients since 2012 in financial, shipping processes, banking, and insurance. He also has previous experience as a Technical Architect and working onsite in the UK. He has technical skills in OS, programming languages, database, communication and networks, frameworks, libraries, services, and methodologies and tools.

Duy is a graduate of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.

Linh Nguyen has more than 8 years of experience in testing, especially in web application. Before joining CES, Linh was a senior QC at Orange Logic, a product company of the digital asset management industry.

Linh earned his bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and graduated from FPT University in 2012.

Anh has more than 8 years of experience in testing, especially in web and mobile application. He was a senior QC at Pear Therapeutics, a product company of the health care providers industry.

Anh earned his bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and graduated from International University - VNU - HCM in 2013.

Khoa is a passionate and skilled full-stack software developer. He has experience working with industries including ERP, Logistics, and Transportation.

Khoa is a collaborative team player who thrives in dynamic environments, bringing a proactive approach to problem-solving and creating innovative solutions. He always stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends, constantly refining his skills through continuous learning and professional development.

Huy Nquyen joined Customized Energy Solutions as QA Engineer in August 2023. Huy has over 4 years of experience in manual and automation testing. Prior to joining CES, he worked as an automation QA engineer where he used manual and automation testing through Selenium/C#, supported clients, and participated in the planning process.

Huy holds a bachelor’s degree of Computer Science from the University of Information Technology and graduated in 2018.

Huy Quoc Nguyen is a Sr. Support Technician with 15 years experience.

Trung Minh Nguyen joined CES as a Data Operation Analyst in January 2024. He comes with 13 years of experience with telecom and network. He has 5 years of experience in web, API manual and API testing.

Trung received his B.S. degree in Computer Science from HCMC University of Technology.

 

Hung joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2024 as a Software Engineer for the Retail Services team. Prior to joining CES, he has 7 years of experience as a full-stack developer, specializing in APIs, web development, and Azure Cloud for a year.

Hung holds a B.S degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam.

Hieu joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2024 as a Software Engineer for the Retail Services team.

Prior to joining CES, Hieu worked as a full stack developer for 7 years. He worked in various industries including pay TV, car multimedia, and game.

Hieu holds a B.S degree from University of Technology, Vietnam.

Phong has over 15 years of experience in administering and managing Linux/Unix operating systems, as well as overseeing the operation of applications running on Linux/Unix systems across multiple programming languages. Additionally, he has collaborated with various teams to address application and operating system issues, as well as to enhance application performance.

Phong graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Information Technology in 2004, earning a BS. in Computer Science. Subsequently, in 2022, he also graduated and obtained a BA. from the University of Foreign Trade in Vietnam.

With over 5 years of experience in manual testing, Ly's strength lies in exploratory testing, where she can leverage her critical thinking skills to identify potential issues beyond scripted tests. She also has experience testing computer vision AI, and she's comfortable working on mobile, web, and VR applications, ensuring a seamless user experience. Additionally, she has used Postman for API testing, which allows her to contribute to a comprehensive testing strategy.

Ly holds a B.S. degree in information technology from HUTECH University, Vietnam.

Thi Nguyen joined Customized Energy Solutions in September 2025 as a Data Operations Analyst. Thi supports the testing and monitoring of EDI data processes to ensure accurate and timelytransactions. Before joining CES, Thi worked as a Data Analyst at Hansen Technologies, gaining experience in analytics, process improvement, automation, and data-driven problem solving. 

Sagar joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022 as Quality Assurance Tester. He has experience in manual and automation testing of web-based and mobile applications, specifically in the BFS and healthcare domains. Sagar has experience in developing and maintaining overall test methodology and strategy, as well as automation testing using Selenium.

Sagar completed a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Pune, India.

Sepiso Nyambe Is a Senior Program Associate at Customized Energy Solutions (CES) with over five years of experience supporting off-grid energy and mini-grid projects across Zambia. Her expertise includes stakeholder coordination, community engagement, site identification, and feasibility studies, working closely with communities, regulators and private sector partners to drive effective and sustainable project implementation.

Tomonori joined CES Japan in June 2020 to focus on retail service of BLUEj.

Prior to joining CES, he spent 2 1/2 years working as an operation member at US PPS in Tokyo.

He also has 18 years of experience in sales and marketing at an IT vendor and chemical manufacturer in Japan.

Raphael joined CES as a Retail Billing Analyst in November 2025. He supports the Retail team by assisting clients with billing related issues. Raphael previously worked at Hanwha Philly Shipyard as a Cost Analyst. He earned his BS in Computational Modeling and Data Analytics at Virginia Tech.  

Vipul works as an Analyst - Emerging Technologies. He has joined Customized energy solution in May 2015. He has been involved in development of CES modeling suite, Matlab modeling, data mining, data management, cost-benefit analysis along with the market research. He is hardware-in-charge of Micro-grid Initiative for Campus and Rural Opportunities and responsible for hardware development, installation and integration.

His research is focused on area such as Energy storage Systems, Renewable energy, Ancillary service markets, Optimization and Data analytics.

Vipul holds Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Control Systems from V.J.T.I. Mumbai and Bachelor’s Degree from Pune University, India.

Anil joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2015 and works in the India as Office Assistant. He began his career with Customized Energy Solutions and is responsible for office management and day to day routine work like inventory management, keeping records, document management etc.

Aditya joined CES in October of 2021 as a consultant for the Emerging Technologies team. He brings with him experience of working on projects related to policy advisory, techno-commercial analysis, strategy roadmaps, forecasting, capability development, and legal analysis. His technical skillsets include data analysis and visualization using PYTHON and RSTUDIO, EXCEL modelling, advanced automation using VBA and financial modelling.

Prior to joining CES, Aditya worked as a consultant for Ricardo Energy & Environment and as an engineer for Cummins India Technologies Ltd.

Aditya holds a post-graduation diploma, with a specialization in sustainable management, bestowed by the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM L) and a Bachelor of Technology degree (Mechanical Engineering) bestowed by the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT G).

Ganesh Palkar joined CES as a Software Architect. Ganesh has over seven years of work experience in several technologies including microservice architecture design, containerization, and orchestration using Docker + Kubernetes, API development in Django, and NodeJS.

Ganesh also implemented an OpenStack framework that allows developers to allocate infrastructure resources on their own for faster development in lower environments.

Susrutha joined Customized Energy Solutions as a Business Analyst in 2023.

Prior to joining CES, Susrutha worked in an MNC in the Service and IT Consulting space as a Business Analyst acquiring experience in the fields of business analysis, data analysis and reporting.

Susrutha holds a PG Diploma in Business Analytics from GITAM University, Visakhapatnam, India; MBA from VIT University, Vellore, India and a BBA from VIT University, Vellore, India.

Supam is an energy sector professional with more than 10 years of experience across diverse domains within the power ecosystem. He brings deep expertise in renewable energy and specializes in strategic sales, market development, and building high-value partnerships with utilities, IPPs, EPCs, and solution providers.

His work focuses on bridging policy, technology, and commercial strategy to accelerate clean energy adoption in India. With strong knowledge of solar, wind, hybrid systems, and energy storage markets, Supam excels in consultative selling, industry engagement, and driving growth through insight-led conversations. He combines a sharp commercial mindset with deep sector expertise and strong stakeholder relationships to deliver impactful business outcomes. 

Kirth joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2008. He focuses on supporting Data Acquisition Services while assisting with SCADA, RTU configuration, communications, and field automa­tion devices. He provides engineering support for integration of production, measurement, automation, and compression of plant control data into SCADA/HMI; in addition to supporting the efforts of technological advances and technical standards in data acquisition.

Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Kirth worked for Samsung Corporation as an electrical supervisor. He earned his BS in Electrical Engineering in India and an MBA from University of Massachusetts.

Sinjan joined CES in November 2021 as a consultant with the Emerging Technologies team. He brings with him an experience of working on assignments related to strategy roadmaps, policy advisory, legal analysis, tariff design, forecasting & budgeting, and business intelligence frameworks. With previous stints in regulatory strategy and business planning roles, he is well conversant with the power sector value chain (renewables and conventional).

Prior to joining CES, he was associated in a corporate governance, business strategy and due diligence role across the renewable energy and solar manufacturing portfolios of Adani Group. He was working in program management for key projects, reviewing key strategic priorities of the Chairman, to assist the Group Energy Apex team. Previously he had also worked with CESC Ltd (formerly Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation), where he handled the responsibilities of regulatory planning for generation and distribution divisions.

Sinjan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Aditi joined Customized Energy Solutions in January 2022 and is responsible for Business Development activities for IESA and IESA Academy, which include building skill-development ecosystem, brainstorming and executing IESA Academy initiatives, on-boarding experts, partners & members and promoting IESA Academy courses.

Prior to joining CES, Aditi has worked in the domain of energy through project estimation, project tracking, proposal writing and business development activities in the space of Bio-CNG projects.

Aditi is passionate about working in the energy domain. She has completed her B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication and MBA in Operations Management, both from Pune University. She is also a certified Energy Manager and aspires to provide substantial contribution towards greener, sustainable future.

Chetan has 13+ years of experience in Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), Non-Wired Alternatives, Renewable Energy Generation & Electricity Distribution Companies. His present focus area Greening the Grid (GTG) Projects, Round-the-Clock (RTC) Green Energy, Battery Energy Storage Solutions for Grid Scale, Climate Finance, e- Mobility (with High Voltage & Low Voltage Platform) & Green Hydrogen, it’s derivatives Green Ammonia, Steel & Refinery based Applications in his recent assignments.
Before joining Indian Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) & Customized Energy Storage Solution (CES) as Director – Strategy & Growth, He as worked for Gensol Group as Group Leader – Policy, Regulatory & Govt. Business, & Log 9 Materials Scientific Pvt. Ltd. on Lithium-Ion Cell Manufacturing as Vice President – Energy Business.
Also, before this he had worked in Electricity Distribution Sector for BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL), New Delhi (A Power Distribution Licensee & a JV company of Reliance Infrastructure and Govt. Of Delhi, India) & IntelliSmart (EESL & NIIF JV).
Prior to this he had worked with Power Generation Companies for Billion Dollar Groups (Reliance, Azure Power, ACME) as Business Development Manager for Renewable Generation Companies and had been responsible for setting up of approx. 6 GW of Solar PV and Wind Power Projects in India.

Vinay Patil is a Research Engineer at Customized Energy Solutions, where he focuses on the development and integration of renewable energy technologies. His work spans solar power systems, intelligent charge controllers, and battery energy storage for off-grid and microgrid applications. With hands-on experience in system design, field implementation, and R&D, Vinay is passionate about advancing sustainable and reliable energy solutions that bridge innovation and real-world impact. 

Hemant joined CES in September 2020 as Angular Developer. Hemant has experience in working with responsive webpages using bootstrap and media query, and taking advantage of the frameworks like Typescript and Angular. He understands model view controller MVC and MVVM design pattern.

Hemant holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Application from Pune University Maharashtra, India.

Rinku joined CES in May 2022 as Software Engineer. She has a background in development and testing of ETL process, SQL Server and data warehousing. Rinku has completed her post-graduation in Master of computer application from Bharati Vidyapeeth Kolhapur, Pune University, India.

Vipul joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2023 as Product Manager. He has around 7 years of total experience in IT domain. Vipul is CSM and DevOps certified professional.

He started his professional journey as Business Analyst and gradually wore different hats such as Project Lead, Product Manager. During this journey, he worked in Solar, EV, Battery Storage domain as well as SAAS-based projects. His areas of specialization are Scrum, cloud computing, DevOps, mock-up design and SDLC.

Vipul has completed his Bachelor of Engineering with distinction in Electrical from the North Maharashtra University.

Erik is responsible for the company’s services related to the wholesale electricity markets, which includes managing and scheduling generation assets in the various RTOs/ISOs, and managing the electricity purchases and electricity market activity for large users, including municipalities and industrial customers. 

Erik first joined Customized Energy Solutions in May of 2005 as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for PJM. In this role he provided market updates and information on market rule changes to many clients in PJM.

Tejaswini joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022 as a full-time QA Analyst on the UI Team. Her responsibilities include designing, developing and executing test cases, writing test scripts in postman and testing throughout multiple environments.

Tejaswini pursued her BE in Electronics from Nagpur University in May 2012. Prior to joining CES, Tejaswini worked at Wipro Technologies and Envisionard as a Quality Analyst.

Yogesh joined CES in March 2019 as Quality Assurance Tester. He has previous experience in Data warehousing as well as Functional Testing including Web/Desktop apps. He is involved in QA Testing activities in support of release of ETL, Reporting & Web Applications.

Yogesh holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Telecommunications from North Maharashtra University, India.

 

Rahul Pendharkar is a Senior IT manager for the Future Grid Group in Pune, India. Prior to rejoining CES, Rahul was the Director of Four Quadrant Consulting Pvt. Ltd. He also was Director of Emerging Technologies- Markets, Operations at CES for four years.

Rahul has his bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai.

Prasad joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2022 as Assistant Manager - Digital Marketing . He is responsible for detail-oriented digital marketing, SEO, social media, website, graphic, and paid campaign. Prasad has over three years of experience in Digital Marketing.

He holds a master’s degree in MBA from Vishwakarma University Pune.

Rich joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2025 as Director of Business Development. In this role he is dedicated to advancing CES’s Data Center growth initiatives along with supporting CES’s Future Grid Services, primarily focusing on their BTM energy storge, demand response and peak load management applications.

Rich has extensive experience developing commercial solutions for FTM & BTM energy storage and renewable assets in PJM, ERCOT, NYISO, ISO-NE and CAISO. Prior to joining CES, he held various positions within the energy sector, leading teams in market growth strategy, asset management, dispatch optimization, data analytics, and energy trading. 

Rich earned his MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University. He is a CFA® Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

Dr. Satyajit Phadke joined CES in January 2015. His focus is on consulting services in the area of energy storage and conversion technologies for various applications such as automotive, stationary power, portable power and grid scale storage. Additionally he assists with evaluation, validation and competitive bench marking of technologies.

Satyajit has in depth understanding of various energy storage technologies owing to his many years of involvement in the research and development of novel battery chemistry and materials for fuel cells. He holds three licensed patents in the area of batteries and is the author of several technical articles in this field. He has a PhD from University of Florida, a BS from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and has worked in capacity of a post doctoral associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Princeton University.

Khai worked in the IT industry as a software engineer since 2012. He mainly focused on backend and has experience in CRM system, such as Salesforce.

Prior to joining CES, Khai worked with several companies such as Simpson Strong-tie and Lotte Data Communication in various industries including credit card payment, construction and medical.

Tam Phan joined CES's Philadelphia Office as Retail Market Services Analyst. Tam graduated from Drexel University with double majors in Finance and Business Analytics.

In her role, she provides valuable support to the Retail Market Services team's pricing, forecasting, scheduling, and settlements functions. She also contributes to the development of automation and optimization process. Before joining CES, Tam gained experience in data-driven, forecasting, and statistical analysis while working in Technology and Sciences companies.

Khoi Phan is an experienced Senior QA Engineer with 9 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, guiding high-performing QA teams to deliver software excellence. He is proficient in creating and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. He is adept at developing comprehensive test strategies, test automation efforts, and driving process enhancements to ensure top-tier product quality. He likes a challenge where he can leverage his proven expertise to elevate QA practices, mentor team members, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality software solutions that exceed customer expectations consistently.

Phong joined CES as a full-stack software engineer and worked with the development team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He has been involved in all parts of the software development cycle, such as interacting with clients to get requirements and working on code as part of projects. Prior to joining CES, Phong started with FPT Ho Chi Minh and he worked as a software engineer for over 8 years in various industries including energy, education, and automation.

Dave joined CES in June of 2014 as an analyst in the Demand Response group, and he now functions as the ISO Operations Manager for the team. This broad role entails analyzing market and customer data to evaluate market opportunities, developing new business, and providing the most economical propositions to the customer. This requires completion of compliance and settlements tasks for ISO DR programs and keeping up to date on the DR regulatory environment and energy markets. He also implements procedures for standardized processes and leads the team’s Peak Load Management efforts.

Prior to joining Customized, Dave attended Penn State University, earning a BS in Energy, Business, and Finance with an economics minor.

Pratima joined CES on December 5, 2022 as Associate Care Manager. She is responsible for talent management , training & development, employee engagement & welfare, streamlining & restructuring associate care & benefit framework, and overall associate care management.

She has over 11 years of experience in Manufacturing, IT, telecom and infrastructure domain, and extensive experience across strategic facets of human capital management through the employee life cycle with CI approach. She completed her MBA in human resource management from Nagpur University.

Vinayak joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2023 and works in the Power Trading department as Analyst – Sustainability Services (Renewables). Vinayak was previously associated with Power Distribution arm of K. Raheja Corp where he contributed to the development of ecosystem of SEZ based Discoms.

At CES, he is responsible for business development for open access clients, renewable energy market (REC), bidding strategies for clients, contract management and operational aspects of power trading and regulatory assistance to the clients.

Vinayak holds bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pune (SBPCOE).

Chuck joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2014 as a System Operator. Chuck supports the day-to-day activity in the Day-Ahead and Real-time energy markets. He is responsible for submitting Day-Ahead bids and offers, Day-Ahead and Real-time Demand Response, Emergency Load Response and energy market settlements.

Brenda Prokop is a regulatory strategy and regional markets expert who has focused on advocacy and policy development in the MISO, PJM and SPP regions. Most recently, she provided regulatory support for business development initiatives, but she also has experience with FERC and NERC compliance, wholesale and retail rates, business process design and project management.

Prior to joining CES, Brenda was LS Power Development’s transmission regulatory policy lead for the MISO and SPP regions. In this role, she championed regional transmission planning process reforms and supported LS Power’s state regulatory and legislative outreach initiatives. Brenda chaired the MISO Competitive Transmission Developer sector and served on various MISO and SPP committees, including the MISO Advisory Committee.

Over a 20-year career prior to LS Power, Brenda held positions encompassing a range of federal regulatory policy areas. She started her career as a management consultant working at both existing and now-defunct ISO/RTO clients, including ERCOT, GridSouth, PJM, and the Alliance RTO.

Himanshu has previously worked as an Application Development Senior Analyst at Accenture. With a strong background as a Cloud Solutions Architect and DevOps Engineer, he's played a pivotal role in the operations of a large retail client in the fashion business, managing and developing new infrastructure requirements.

With a deep understanding of application architecture, he's also acted as a consultant for performance-related issues from the application end. His expertise extends to creating automation scripts and pipelines, enhancing time and manpower efficiency.

His passion lies in cloud-related roles, specifically in DevOps, cloud architecture, solutions architecture. He possesses skill sets that includes Ansible, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Bash, PowerShell, Splunk, Grafana,  Dynatrace, Akamai, React Native, cross-platform mobile app development, YAML.

Additionally, he's acquired several certifications, including AZ-104, Neural Networks and Deep Learning(Coursera), AZ-900, and proficiency in Python, Java, C, and MySQL through Spoken Tutorial Project at IIT Bombay.

 

Calvin joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2018. He is part of the technical team.

During graduation, he had undertaken various projects and also founded and headed a solar-electric vehicle team, Team Solarium.

He has graduated from Pune University, with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Rohit joined CES in Jan 2018.  He works as a full stack senior software engineer on several web based applications with the main focus on CES | BLUE. 

Rohit comes from a background in web programming for various domains like Order Management, Telecom and Banking.

Sravya Sri Ramoju joined Customized Energy Solutions in September 2024. She has over 3 years of experience as a business analyst, specializing in business process modeling, Agile methodologies, and delivering data-driven solutions.

She is well-versed in requirement gathering, stakeholder management, SQL development, and optimizing workflows using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and JIRA. Prior to joining CES, Sravya worked with top banking clients, driving impactful projects in the technology and financial sectors.

Sravya holds a MS degree in Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Vardhan Reddy is a versatile and solutions-focused with an integrated B.Tech and M.Tech in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. At CES, he is part of the CoMETS team, where he contributes by building robust backend systems, integrating intelligent automation pipelines, and supporting scalable digital infrastructure tailored to analytical tools for energy storage markets. His multidisciplinary expertise spans backend development, DevOps, cloud engineering, and applied machine learning. He is passionate about designing intelligent systems that are efficient, scalable, and resilient—leveraging software engineering best practices, data-driven insights, and automation frameworks.
Before joining CES, Vardhan developed AI/ML-enabled applications at DevRelSquad, delivering full-stack solutions that transformed unstructured data into actionable intelligence. He also worked on real-world data and business use cases through internships and independent projects, building scalable tools across diverse domains. Vardhan thrives at the intersection of software, data, and cloud technologies. His hands-on experience across disciplines enables a holistic and innovative approach to problem-solving—making him a valuable asset to complex, interdisciplinary technology initiatives within CoMETS.

Dimitrije joined Retail Services team at CES as a Software Engineering co-op in April 2019 and a full-time Software Developer in June 2020. His main responsibilities include software development and data integrity assurance related to operations, billing and reporting in CES|BLUE.

Prior to joining CES, Dimitrije had two co-ops with PECO Energy and Comtrade System Integration as a Business Analyst and Business Intelligence Analyst. Dimitrije graduated in 2020 from Drexel University with a BSBA in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics. During his time at Drexel, he was an international student athlete on Drexel Rowing team and a Teaching Assistant at LeBow College of Business.

Ibad Ur Rehman joined Customized Energy Solutions as a Manager in November 2024. He is currently managing the stationary energy storage division of IESA (India Energy Storage Alliance). Ibad is a market researcher and consultant with 6 years of extensive experience in market research and consulting across various industries, including chemicals, materials, power, energy, and technology. His focus is on researching and analyzing various energy storage projects.
Previously, Ibad was a Senior Analyst at a consulting firm based in Gurugram, India. Prior to that, he was involved in syndicated market research across multiple domains, including chemicals, energy & power, food & beverage, and technology, at a market research firm based in Pune. Ibad holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, India, and a Diploma in Network Security from the same university.”

Melissa joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2023 as a Retail Operations Billing/ EDI Manager. Melissa has 14 years experience in the energy industry.  Melissa started her career with PPLSolutions as an analyst and then transitioned to the supplier side of the business working for PPL Energy Plus and Talen Energy. Prior to CES Melissa was the retail team lead at Smartest Energy. Melissa earned a BS in Accounting from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

Michelle joined Customized Energy Solutions in January 2014.  She is responsible for organizing and maintaining office operations to ensure that the office runs efficiently. She has over fifteen years of experience in office management and accounting functions for businesses and non-profit organizations.

Jenni Rochelle joined Customized Energy Solutions as Senior Consultant – Market Intelligence in 2015. Prior to joining CES, Jenni was Manager, RTO Policy West for American Electric Power. Jenni has also worked for companies including AEP Energy Partners and Direct Energy.

Jenni has her Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from University of North Texas and her Masters in Spiritual Formation from Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest.

Onkar completed his bachelors in mechanical engineering from Savitribai Phule University in June 2022. During graduation, he was part of student motorsport team (Team Solarium) where he performed various roles such as brakes engineer and vehicle dynamics head.

Onkar joined Customized Energy Solutions as an intern in August 2022 and transitioned into role of lab analyst in February 2023.

John joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2012, working in the Demand Response Business Line. This work includes advising and registering customers in DR, testing customers for compliance, and planning for participation in the Demand Response program. He also supports managing customers Capacity and Transmission peak shaving along with Load Forecasting. John also assists in the analysis, scheduling and transportation of Natural Gas.

Before joining Customized, John spent the last 5 years working for the curtailment service provider North America Power Partners, where he worked in Demand Response covering the areas of PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE and the utilities Southern California Edison and Pacific Gas & Electric.

José joined CES in March 2020 as Director of Market Intelligence for the New England wholesale power market, assisting clients in understanding and analyzing ISO New England's rules for its energy, capacity, and ancillary services markets as well as for project interconnections, system planning, and other RTO/ISO matters.  With 30 years of experience in the energy industry as a consultant, transmission developer, utility executive, and state regulator, José has participated in RTOs/ISOs since their formation and has represented clients in NEPOOL for 20 years.  Since 2010, he has served as the member-elected Vice Chair of the NEPOOL Transmission Committee.

Prior to joining CES, José was a consultant in the New England and New York power markets providing regular monthly and quarterly analyses on energy and capacity market issues as well as transmission policies.  Prior to that role, José led regulatory policy matters for a developer of market-based transmission projects, was a principal analyst for a major New England utility focusing on rates, restructuring, and FERC issues, and an economist with the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities.  He holds a BA in Economics from Brown University and an MBA from Northeastern University.

 

Rob joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2025.  Rob is responsible for the company’s business development activities related to retail energy services, which includes Retail Energy Providers (REPs), self-retail participants, and other market participants delivering or using electricity and gas.   

Rob brings over thirty years of experience in the worldwide electricity and natural gas markets.  He started his career in SCADA and real-time power control systems, before spending a decade at Oracle, where he eventually led their worldwide Utilities alliance program.  He has been helping advance the retail energy markets since 2003, in areas of billing, customer care, market communication, forecasting, scheduling, settlement, and more for everyone from startups to some of the world’s largest energy retailers.   Rob is originally from Canada and has lived in the US for three decades. 

Dan joined CES in December 2016 as a Network Administrator. Prior to joining CES, Dan worked for an IT consulting company that catered to SMB companies in the Philadelphia area. He was responsible for setting up servers and network design. He is a self taught IT expert with more than 15 years of experience. Dan graduated from the University of Maryland & the University of Nice as a French language major.

Ron joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2012.  His primary area of focus is providing regulatory coverage and consulting services to clients in the Midwest with an interest in generation asset management and trading.

Ron has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, having held various positions of increasing responsibility in settlements, accounting, contract administration, asset optimization, generation dispatch, NERC compliance, and regulatory affairs.  Prior to joining Customized, he was Director of Commercial Markets with Ameren Energy Marketing, a division of Ameren Corporation, that provides retail and wholesale power to customers throughout the Midwest. He earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from John E. Simon School of Business at Maryville University as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Robert joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2011. Robert has more than 25 years of experience in the North American competitive electricity sector working with ISO/RTOs, power marketers, merchant generators, wind and solar project developers and vertically integrated utilities. From 2011 till 2024 Robert supported clients’  Southwest Power Pool (SPP) information and analysis needs as Director of Market Intelligence – SPP Region. Robert is currently Director of Wholesale Services – SPP Region assisting our clients with services related to onboarding and operating assets in the SPP wholesale electricity market.

In addition to his power market experience, Robert served in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer. In 2011, Robert earned an MBA degree from the State University of New York at Albany.

Kartikey Saini is a Release DevOps Engineer with over 3.5 years of experience in driving successful delivery of large-scale retail projects. Skilled in leveraging Azure DevOps and GitHub for efficient source control and collaboration, he has a proven track record in automating and streamlining release processes. His knowledge and experience in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, and Python enables him to automate repetitive tasks and develop custom tools for enhanced productivity.

Certified in AZ-400 and AZ-104, Kartikey possesses a deep understanding of Azure cloud services and their application in DevOps environments. He also has experience with additional technologies such as YAML, NodeJS, Angular, Jenkins, and Azure.

Santosh Salunke joined CES in April of 2023 as a Senior Network Engineer. Santosh is responsible for global network management and deployment and provides support to network operations. Prior to joining CES, Santosh worked in Malaysia with HP and ATT.

Ram Kishore Sankaralingam is currently working as a senior analyst at Customized Energy Solutions (CES) ET team in India. He joined CES in February 2024. He has experience in the field of creating machine learning models for batteries, building flow battery prototypes, and battery testing. He is currently working on the production cost modelling of the power sector.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University and master’s degree (by research) in Mechanical Engineering from VIT University. He completed his PhD in Applied Mechanics from IIT Madras and graduated in 2023. His PhD research work was focused mainly on flow batteries.

 

This is Chris Santosusso’s first time working in the industry. He worked in construction and signage before joining CES. He previously was a Project Coordinator where he developed and improved skills such as multiple project coordination, employee training, administrative assistance, data entry, and accounting.

Chris studied accounting at Widener University and accounting and business/management at Fox School of Business at Temple University.

Akash joined Customized Energy Solutions as a senior analyst in May 2021. He works on manufacturing consulting and supply chain research related to emerging energy storage technologies, electric mobility markets and technologies.

Prior to joining CES, he worked at New Jersey Innovation Institute as a product development engineer. He worked on developing new solar products, driving the product migration from the research and development phase to high volume manufacturing, diagnosing and resolving technical issues and collaborating with a cross-geographical team of scientists and engineers from Germany (CTF Solar) and China (China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd.) to build an adaptive production line for solar modules. He has several publications in the photovoltaics research and development domain that are published in international journals and conferences.

He has a master’s degree in power and energy systems engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, USA and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, India.

 

Jatin works as a senior analyst at Customized Energy Solutions. He joined CES in August 2020. He is involved in development of Python based mathematical models for operation of energy storage systems in electricity markets. Before joining CES, Jatin worked at Prayas (Energy Group), Pune, a premier think tank in India focusing on electricity regulation where he published multiple publications and was involved in regulatory filings.

His research areas include applied optimization and predictive modeling for solving decision making problems in electricity markets.  He also holds expertise in policies and regulations of electricity sector in India.

Jatin holds a Master of Management degree with specialization in Business Analytics from IISc Bangalore, India and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Jonathan joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2014. His primary area of focus is providing PJM regulatory coverage and consulting services to clients.

He comes to CES from PJM Interconnection, where he focused on long-term industry strategy and the impact of new technologies and/or market events on electricity markets and grid reliability. He is experienced in PJM’s stakeholder process as well as their governing documents and manuals and has expertise in energy markets, capacity markets, derivatives, natural gas, gas/electric industry coordination, generation, power plant economics, valuation, forecasting, advanced energy storage, renewable energy, and market analysis. Jonathan previously worked as a Market Analyst and Financial Advisor.

Jonathan earned MBA and Master of Accounting degrees from the College of William & Mary and a BS in Business from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Avanthika Satheesh joined Customized Energy Solutions as Senior Energy Analyst in August 2018. Today, Avanthika is working as an Industry Research Manager. Prior to joining CES, Avanthika was Senior Analyst at India Energy Storage Alliance in Pune, India. Avanthika has brought over nine years of experience in the Energy and Power systems sector in market research and strategic consulting. Avanthika has a bachelor of technology in electrical engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, a post graduate diploma in business administration and operations management from Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning, and a master’s of engineering from Anna University.

Kate joined Customized Energy Solutions in February, 2016, as an analyst on the Retail Services team.  She provides support to the group in billing, EDI, and client management. 

Prior to joining CES, Kate worked as a Sales Operations Analyst at a tech driven energy company headquartered in Washington, DC.  Here she helped build out the operational processes for a newly launched retail energy brokerage line.  She has a diverse background in client relations, business operations, and project & account management.

Bill joined Customized Energy Solutions in January of 2002.  He is responsible for leading the Distributed Resource Market Integration team that focuses on the demand response and distributed resource operations, as well as the development teams for the PowerGREEN and CoMETS supporting software platforms.  As part of this effort Bill provides leadership to the development of CES’ PowerGREEN peak load management software platform as well as CES’ GridBOOST asset optimization and scheduling tool.  Collectively, CES’ Future-Grid Services is focused on providing operations and consulting related to the growing trend of integrating utility scale advanced energy storage into the grid, as well as more general trends related to demand response and the increased distribution of resources behind utility meters and/or as part of microgrids.  Bill also provides leadership to various internal CES functions.

Previously, Bill provided leadership to CES’ Market IQ team. Bill also served at various times in the past as the primary representative of the MISO LSE Coalition and the PJM Public Power Coalition (PPC), while also providing services to a broad range of other clients. Bill is based in CES’ Midwest office located in Carmel, Indiana.

Before joining CES, Justin worked for a company that was a distributor of Jenbacher engines in the Operations department. The company provide fully integrated Combined Heat and Power (CHP) and Distributed Generation (DG) power solutions to a variety of customers (institutional, commercial, industrial and governmental accounts). Justin's core responsibilities were data warehousing, system integration, and product support. He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, earning a BS in Energy Business and Finance.

Andrew’s career at Customized Energy Solutions began as an intern, signing on towards the end of October 2018. He started working with the Retail Billing group but transitioned to a full time QA Analyst role after graduation. His responsibilities include writing test cases and requirements, analyzing system functionality and testing throughout multiple environments.

Prior to joining CES, he had two internships at UPS and Deacom, a startup ERP solutions firm. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys rooting for the Sixers and traveling to new places. He received a BS in Management Information Systems from Temple University.

 

Sam joined CES in December 2022.  Sam attends and participates in stakeholder meetings and writes reports with analysis on important presentations, announcements, discussions, and other developments for internal and external clients in the power sector. Sam independently identifies and defines issues and recommends appropriate courses of action according to client interests.

Sam came to CES from PJM Interconnection, where he worked in the State and Member Training Department as a power markets trainer. Sam specialized in power market optimization and financial settlement processes, leading various markets trainings for member companies at the PJM campus and online. Sam has experience with PJMs governing documents and manuals and is a certified PJM Market Operator.

Sam earned a B.S. in Energy Business and Finance from Penn State in 2018 and earned his MBA in Strategic Management and Business Analytics from Villanova University in 2022.

A skilled DevOps Engineer with over 3.5 years of experience in managing deployment and automation processes for enterprise-scale e-commerce platforms.

Debmalya is an energy sector professional with more than 13 years of experience across conventional and clean energy sectors. Over the last 13 years he has played various roles across operations, project development, asset management, business development and management consulting. He holds a bachelor’s degree in instrumentation engineering, a masters in thermal power plant engineering and an MBA in Finance from SP Jain School of Global Management where he was on the dean’s list and awarded the Global Citizenship award.
Debmalya presently is the President of India Energy Storage Alliance where he leads an alliance of 180+ members across the value chain, helping them in their journey on accelerating energy storage deployment. He works closely with the Government and Private sector to give key recommendations on energy storage. He is also a recognized subject matter expert in energy storage by CEA.
Before joining IESA , Debmalya was the India Lead of World Economic Forum, and a management consultant in KPMG where he led advisory work on energy storage and renewables, prior to that he spent 9 years working with Apraava Energy. Debmalya is also a selected mentor by ESMAP (World Bank) for energy storage and he mentors young women engineers interested in making a career in the energy storage domain.

 

Param Shah is a skilled professional with a B.Tech in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has experience and knowledge in deploying large-scale optimization models, discrete optimization, algorithm development, big data, and recommendation systems.

At CES, Param leverages his extensive knowledge and experience to contribute to the company's success, by building Optimization models and Statistical models.

Throughout his career, Param has successfully built retail logistical optimization models, recommendation models, supply chain models, and machine learning models. His work demonstrates a strong ability to develop and implement innovative statistical solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness in various industries.

Param is dedicated to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest industry trends. His commitment to adopting new technologies ensures that he remains at the forefront of advancements in his field.

Zain is a Software Engineer specializing in backend development, cloud computing, DevOps, and data integration. With hands-on experience in building scalable applications, designing RESTful APIs, and implementing cloud solutions using AWS services, his expertise lies in creating robust backend applications and cloud-based solutions. Zain is passionate about solving complex problems, optimizing system performance, and delivering innovative technology solutions that drive business growth. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from the University of Pune.

Aadil works at Customized Energy Solutions in Philadelphia, where he focuses on the intersection of AI, data engineering, and automation. His work primarily involves building and evaluating RAG architectures, designing AI evaluation frameworks, and developing intelligent automation solutions. 

He first joined CES as a Software Engineering Intern in the summer of 2024, during which he built a fully automated web-scraping and data-processing pipeline using Scrapy, AWS Lambda, and S3. Prior to CES, Aadil worked at Accops Systems, where he contributed to the development of virtualization and remote access tools and led small feature teams. 

Aadil recently completed his Master’s degree in Computer Science from California State University, Chico, with a strong focus on AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and scalable software systems. 

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new technology ideas and building small automations for fun. When he’s away from screens, he likes spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and seeking out new adventures.
