CES provides value-added natural gas support services to our retail supplier clients enabling them to focus on marketing and growing their customer base.
Assistance is provided to customers for state, local distribution company (LDC) and pipeline registrations as well as electronic data interchange (EDI) testing. CES will also schedule LDC-specific training and program requirements as needed by the customer. Energy purchasing and price risk strategies are developed to minimize costs and incorporate capacity release and storage into daily and monthly purchase strategies. As agent, CES will purchase natural gas to meet LDCs requirements for retail choice customers. Daily requirement nomination amounts are scheduled as well as any retro nominations per LDC requirements. All schedules are coordinated with suppliers and pipelines. CES will review and reconcile LDC, pipeline and supply invoices for accuracy and develop customized reports to meet the client´s internal needs. There are no up-front costs and the cost per account decreases with volume. CES will optimize your retail choice daily supply, transport and storage to minimize your overall costs.

Setup and Registration: CES will prepare your market entry by managing any state, LDC, and pipeline registrations. CES will also coordinate your EDI & FTP testing and provide program-required training.
Market Analysis: CES will conduct market analysis including rules governing pool formation, credit, and physical assets/operations as applicable.
Physical Operations: CES will develop individualized purchasing and risk strategies for your portfolio. We will purchase natural gas to meet your customers’ needs. As agent, CES will purchase natural gas from client-approved suppliers to meet generator dispatch and/or large end-use requirements. Required normal and intraday pipeline nominations are performed to coincide with regional grid operators’ generation dispatch and manage any LDC/pipeline imbalances to minimize costs. CES Generation Services customers benefit by close coordination of both gas and power scheduling by the CES Market Operations Center. Pipeline and supply invoices are reviewed and reconciled for accuracy and customized reports are developed to meet client´s internal needs. CES will incorporate asset management strategies such capacity release and any storage assets into daily and monthly purchase strategies and arbitrage opportunities to help offset supply costs. CES will optimize supply, transportation and storage to meet generation dispatch or large commercial/industrial requirements. The 24-hour Market Operations Center insures any gas Operational Flow Orders (OFOs) or emergencies are handled expeditiously, including weekends and holidays and also provides our customers with 24-hour access for operational changes. Coordination with CES Generation Services insures optimization of both fuel utilization and power sales.
